Flieger
I shoot a pre warning walnut (not birch) carbine. It's my go to gun when a varmit is giving me trouble. Lately I've noticed that Ruger has a nice textured receiver on their stainless rifles. Do they make a poly black carbine stock or just the sporter I saw in the gun store? asmurff
I believe you can now get the 10/22 with an ATI tacticool stock. I have one on mine but added it aftermarket.Okay I take it back they only offer the Mini-14 with the ATI stock, I should have looked first. Flieger
Do most believe that Ruger has maintained the quality of the 10/22 from years of production. I just have to repeat myself, since I put my hands on the stainless model, I JUST HAVE TO HAVE ONE. When I first saw the initial models, the receiver was just a plain finished aluminum. Now with the texture, it's just damn beautiful. The model I played with was a black poly sporter stock. I was hoping they would have made it up with the original carbine stock. You know, it just fits like a old pair of jeans. I still want to get it, just will have to search out what's out there.
