Marlin 30 30 scope suggestions?

I've always been an open sight man, but Im getting older and need a scope. I don't have a lot to spend but I want one for my 30 30 or do you think wise to leave open sights on lever action rifles?

I think that since it's a hunting rifle then what works best for you is what's proper, no matter the type of action.

Just don't use those cockamamie see through scope mounts.

The scope should be mounted as close to the bore as possibly to reduce parallax.
