eeyore Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 Thought I would share this, I have been doing some third party development work on a shot gun adapter that allows a round that does this to be fired from it with out a special barrel. Test Fired for the first time last night and it is going to be introduced at the Shot Show next week. Thats a 24 inch span.... If all goes well these might be in production soon!

eeyore Posted January 11, 2014 Author Report Posted January 11, 2014 I can not speak for the ammo manufacture...but I do not "think" less lethal is their intent, the info I have seen on their hand gun ammo seems to be about improving being on target probability in stressed situations, and maybe less over penetration and collateral damage. My involvement in this was about creating a low cost adapter that can be fitted to pretty much any 12 gage that makes the round expand properly.

It makes what is called a Bolo round work in a shot gun, but if my understanding is correct, a .45 caliber round opens to about 10 inches, the 12 gage round opens to 24 inches
