techmike Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 My garden tractor lives in a shed, and this time of year the battery tends to get flat, because I do not use it as often & cold temps. I just picked up a 1.5 watt solar battery charger at Harbor Freight, mounted on the side of the shed and wires run through the wall & clipped to the battery leads. The instructions specify a charge regulator be used for charging a battery. I have read that with such a low wattage that is not needed - thoughts?
Microgunner Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 Thoughts?I think you're going to find out if a regulator is needed or not.
