Microgunner
Jonesing for a new gun so I rummaged through the safe to satisfy the itch to fondle some strange and dragged this Beretta out. OMG! I'd forgotten how beautiful this magnificent bastard is. With it's massive size and weight it is imposing. The huge iron sights are a joy, the walnut thumbrest grips are artfully crafted, the trigger is light & crisp, the slide is easily cycled with 2 fingers. The only drawback IMO is 8-round mag capacity, which is odd considering the size of this piece. Just thought I'd brag a little.

Microgunner
Photos as promised. The splotchyness on the left side is excess oil I failed to remove prior to photographing.

imschur
I think thats the model i almost bought over my s&w 41 back in 94 or so. Didnt that have some sort of barrel lock up adjustment or something?Thats a beautiful gun buddy
Microgunner
The under barrel weight must be loosened to disassemble the piece. Different weights were available when this pistol was new. I've got (2) mod 41's as well which I like better than this Beretta, but just barely. imschur
ahhh I knew there was something. Can I still get a 5" barrel for my old 41?
Microgunner
You can get a factory 5.5" and several aftermarket suppliers, such as Clark Custom Guns, offer barrels in various lengths as well. The 41 is truly modular.
