  6. Coming back from lunch and getting my new handguns I was heading up the last hill before my work when out of the woods comes two little dogs. Looked like a mix of Pomeranian and taco bell dog. They were running down the double yellow line towards a very busy road. I tried to call them to my truck as "Go for a ride" often works in situations like this. No luck, I was just pressing them towards the busy road of death. I decided to drive like hell and grab the little woman for help. We get to the scene there's another coworker, several young ladies and a truck driver trying to corral the dogs. With our help we got them safely trapped under an SUV. The truck driver on one side and me laying in slush and running water on the othe rside of the SUV. Together me and the other guy managed to get a leash on one dog pretty quick but the second was much more difficult. Little guy was growling, snapping and then licking me. Coincidentally an assistant dog warden was driving by. She called for a net. With the net, an ice scraper and baton we finally were able to move the dog enough to get the second leash on. Finally got the dogs safely in a vehicle. Thats how i ruined my Rainier Arms lid
  7. I looked at quite a few 1911's today. I was surprised to see how many lacked checkering or even serrations on the front strap. Even a stinking Kimber Gold Match lacked it. What gives?
  8. I handled on of these today. It was $247 otd. Maybe for $129. There's no reason it has to be that butt ugly. It looks like was designed by people who never compared notes
  9. Has anyone here ordered from the sig store before? DPMS has completely turned me off from ordering factory direct for parts.
  10. Ill tell you Rugers images dont do the 10/22 target model justice. I can get this for $365 otd, a few bucks more for the stainless. Im really close.....
  11. I just stashed my Glock & Sig under my bed
  12. Its a spigot mount
  13. The sig store is listing the P226.22 conversion for $285 which is quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else. It makes me cautious
  14. I havent a clue but I must ask why you would want a heavy stock like that on the 522?
  15. This looks like fun. I cant wait to get mine.
  16. The mags, Factory H&K USP Jet Funnel magazine for use in USP Full Size, USP Expert and USP Tactical.
  17. My current ceiling on any firearm is $1999.99 with the exception of building my own
  18. No bobcat for that. toby lives for the chase
  19. yeah it's OD green, thanks for the links
  20. Thats real nice, awesome.. I love well made 1911's Im a fan of S&W's own single actions like this and this
  21. So while I was dropping cash on the Glock & Sig I noticed a nice looking barely used HK. The is "HK USP .40 Custom Combat Pistol " See pictures below from the web. I cant find much on it. The mags are odd looking. Same as in the pictures below. Anyhow I can grab it for $850 otd but Im not sure of the value of this model. Anyone have info or opinions on it? Whats with the white translucent mags?
  22. I never done this before but the writing is on the wall here in CT and I need to do what I can. I like that tac ops as well. It was a bit more expensive. This is my first time handling the new Sig frame. It's a perfect fit for me and the gun points well. Best out of the box feel I have ever felt on a handgun. I had reservations about the new grip because the traditional 226 feels great. The Glock still feels like a Glock.
  23. :thumb: At work I have "The Remington"
  24. I chose to really go after the Colt Ace 1911 model. I have the Wilson kit which is manufactured by Marvel Precision. Im just looking for a suitable frame at the moment. Of course the ATI would be a more cost effective path.
