Cyclone I hate to bust your bubble but nothing helps in controlling young boys or girls. I speak from experience my own daughter who is in her 30s now drove me crazy. Then I go and married a women 9 years younger than me with a teenage daughter, what was I thinking! However, if you're as close as it appears to your daughters it will all work out in the long run and you'll probably end up with a couple of extra shooting buddies. Still cleaning guns when the boys show up for the first date sends a clear message without you having to say anything. Sharpening large non-kitchen knives works also.

I'd say that is pretty good for an out of the box rifle, scope and mounts. What distance and other info on your first day.

I can understand that, are you sure you aren't allergic to fish? My daughter is and she get sicker than a dog if she eats it.

Oh I love fish and non-polluted trout is a favorite after bass. I gut them pack the cavity with butter lemon wedges and garlic, wrap them in foil and toss on a medium grill. mmmmm I know doesn't sound good to a someone who doesn't like fish.

No not really short of a transplant. I walk 4 to 5 times a week, eat right most of the time and see a good cardiologist regularly. The biggest thing is I don't work any longer, which removed the stress.

Were the prices reasonable? The prices here have skyrocketed or at least the Remington I'm seeing on the shelves is crazy $49 for 50 rounds .45acp hardball, and $42 for 9mm. I've been able to find .22lr when I want it as my .22 rifle will eat anything.

I use to like to fish, but don't much anymore because of my bad heart. Getting to go spots here in New Mexico either requires a boat which I don't have or trekking over rough ground which I can't do. Also because of my heart my wife worries a lot if I go by myself since all the fishing holes are far from help if I needed it. So we only go a few times a year when she gets the urge or my son when my son ask.

Trout for dinner tonight?

The radical curve on the magazine looks like it could interfere with grasp if you have short arms like me. Still pretty cool.

Glad you joined us Cyclone, always glad to see family shooting together.

Now this sounds like fun, fishing, good food and good friends. A lady who can fix a fishing rod that fast is definitely a keeper.

Thanks for the info, now today can't be a waste I learned something new. The scope I have on my Marlin is the first scope I've ever owned. Out pure dumb luck I must have gotten it on right because when I sighted it I did horizontal first. After I got it to the center line and started on the vertical it marched right up the center line. Still I think I'll check it again using this method.

 You're suppose to level and align them! :-[ I just put it on the rifle and made sure it "looked" right.

The club I believe is around 700 acres a with almost 5 miles of fence line. BTW the image is from Google Earth and is over 3 years old.

I've mentioned my gun club a couple of time and thought I'd try and show it to you. So here is the Del Norte Gun Club in Rio Ranch, NM.

I went and observed the local IDPA group yesterday and am definitely going to join it. Great bunch of people very friendly with most being out there for fun and to improve their shooting. Also a couple of serious shooters who are great to watch, but even they had time for a word with anyone and helpful suggestions. After I got home I was joking with my wife that is was a shame they don't have a .22 category, then thought that it is actually a good idea. Considering the cost of practice and attending the meets just in ammo is quite steep right now for 9mm and up. Actually a seperate organization for .22 would be good. Two Gun Tactical .22s

Actually this case was based on he sold a gun that went full auto, here is a link if you're interested. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=73532

I did go shooting this morning, took both of my 1911s, 9mm Beretta 92FS, and my Browning Buckmark .22 put 100 rounds through each. Tomorrow I'm going to go watch the IDPA at the gun club and see if I want to get involved with that.
