  1. The local Sportsman's Warehouse had bricks of Remington Cyclones yesterday, I bought two. Like you I haven't seen any CCIs except shorts and I haven't seen any Federal at all.
  2. I going to purchase an ambidextrous safety for my 3.5" 1911 and am looking at a Cylinder & Slide one, any pros or cons?
  3. imschur that is pretty cool. So how heavy is it? I've only done the some of the very basic smithing items, I would love to get to the point I felt confident in building my own rifle.
  4. My only rifle for now. Marlin 925R, Bushnell Rimfire scope, Leapers Dragon bi-pod and some old sling.
  5. Here is my Beretta 92FS. Grips are from GunGrips.net. Aha I figured it out finally, Picasa default setting is thumbnail, I just had to change the setting.
  6. Show off :) I was thinking of doing the RIA 5' in a black slide & tan receiver.
  7. Thanks!!!!!!
  8. Madhouse that is very nice, are the grips original or aftermarket? The wood has some great patterning.

    Hi-Powers

I have a Hi-Power on my wishlist, I want to replace my Berreta 92 it is just to big for my hand.
  10. The pictures a Picasa is 1200x1600 pixels so I'm not sure why they are so small here. Yes it is the plain jane GI from Rock Island Armory aka Armscor. It will take anything I feed it as long as its in a Chip McCormick magazine. It has been very accurate start from the box. I'm thinking of dura-coating it, just haven't decided on the colors yet. I'm going to try and post a link here to the Picasa site pictures and see if that works for size. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_uDgKm93TNQbatHWdAYKiA?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ-p7d3z4u3cqAE&feat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_uDgKm93TNQbatHWdAYKiA?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ-p7d3z4u3cqAE&feat=directlink
  11. Maybe not my best handgun photo, but I made the grips. The inlayed quarters are Maryland (my birthplace) and New Mexico (my home). http://
  12. Well hopefully someone will come out with a good purpose built one, or I'll have to wait until I buy my next 1911 and can convert my old 5".
  13. You gotta love that last line. As a retired Air Force Master Sergeant I still feel very strongly about the oath I took in 1974, then again in 1977, 1983, 1989 and 1993 during each of my reenlistments. Politicians however take a very similar oath but don't take it seriously, because they never signed the blank check.
  14. I think a lot has to do with how you want to use the sling. If it is just to carry it from the vehicle to a spot on the shooting line, by an inexpensive Allen or Uncle Mike.
  15. I have about 1000 at the rate I've been shooting my 22s it won't last long.
  16. Oh boo ;D boo hiss :) hiss!
  17. Heres another site of mine http://www.woodworkingforum.net/ never really took off but...
  18. Provided you can find Federal, I like it also because it works with either my Marlin or my Buckmark. The Buckmark can be fincky, the Marlin will eat anything. I went looking for .22 the other day and out of 5 stores could only find shorts and one had Remington Cyclone and it was $33 per brick. I bought it anyway.
  19. I've been out in the garage/workshop sharpening woodworking tools with my new fangled Work Sharp 2000.
  20. Is there a way to mount a scope and still see use the iron sights? Something like a raised rings?
  21. I spent the morning at my gun club shooting my Marlin 925R, which is as close as I come to a tactical rifle ;) I call it my Lethal Plinker Looking at the rifles viewed here I think I'm gonna need a semi-automatic tactical .22. Then I could try and hit my spinning target while it was still spinning, I'm not fast enough to do that with a bolt action.
  22. A .22lr 1911 is high on my wish list too, the 1911 is my favorite pistol. However .45acp is expensive to shoot a lot.
  23. That is quite an array of extras there, is that standard or had someone already trick it out?
  24. There are some pretty interesting barrel choices out there for Buckmarks, and the carbine model is pretty nice, if pricey.
  25. Came over? Is this the dark side, did I finally find it. ;D
