  1. I have the one for us lefties, but am not sure on the legal side of posting it as I got it from the Lee Precision website.
  2. That is a nice looking rifle, but then again all Henrys are well designed both aesthetically and technically. I also saw they just donated 50 rifles to the NRA for use in their youth programs.
  3. The Cylinder and Slide ones have more requirements for installation than I thought also and since it is a safety I'm going to take it to my local gunsmith just to be sure.
  4. After each use I field strip, mop them with Hoppes # 9 and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then run a brass brush for the caliber through the barrel 5-10 times, followed by patches until they come out clean. I also clean any other exposed areas with either nylon or brass brushes and wipe until clean. Then lube all moving areas with Gunslick Spray Lube let it sit a few minutes, then reassemble and then wipe off any excess lube. I track how many rounds I put through each rifle and pistol and every 2000 rounds I do a complete strip and lube. I've started buying only Gunslick products and will replace the Hoppes # 9 when this bottle is done. Not that I have any complaints about Hoppes, but I have a heart condition and Gun Slick makes less violatile products.
  5. Well if it isn't fixable you could use it to do a pic series on the "Xbox of Truth" ;D

I've only been to Turtle Mountain a couple of times. My favorite restaurants in Rio Rancho are O'Hares Irish Pub, and the Pasta House. There is also a new one where the original Turtle mountain was called the Fat Squirrel, good food, but the service ain't much to write home about. I've lived here for 6-1/2 years my wife for much longer. I moved here to settle down after I retired from the Air Force. Ooh and you're on for lunch or the beer.

    Fantastic!
  8. Excellent rodent.22 that is quite a collection of guns, ammo boxes and other memorabilia. You can definitely frame a picture. Are any of the boxes antiques?

Nice how you laid that out. A little about me I live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. I've been married to a fiesty redhead for almost 3 1/2years. Marrying her put me back in to father mode again, my kids are both in their 30s. We have three dogs a 10 year old Australian Cattle Dog who thinks she's everyones Mom (hers), a German Shepherd/Sneaky Neighbor dog who far to smart for is own good (mine) and a Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a Naploean Complex (the kids). I first shot a rifle when I was 9, it was an M1 Garand my uncle had to hold up the front, it knocked me on my butt, but I got up and did it again and also shot his Mauser K98. First .22 I owned was a Marlin single shot Woodchuck. since then I've had a 10/22, a Winchester 9422M and a AR-7, and a Marlin 925R. I remember what I did with each except the 10/22, but since in was gone around the time I married the Wicked Witch of the West it may have had something to do with that cursed union. I shot usually once a week, alternating between my rifle, 4 pistols and one shotgun.

  11. I'm designing this case on Sketch-up as it is going onto the top of and existing table. Haven't decide if two or three shelves yet. Finishing will be easy since the existing table is black, but I'm going to attempt some decorative edging
  12. yup, most of my life Ive been at it to some degree. Even in my current apt dweller status I have taken over the basement of my building. I have the typical stuff. Unisaw, 14" bandsaw, lathe etc. Latest acquisitions were Plano panel clamping system and a DRO for the Biesmeyer. Heres my DRO installation page
  13. You do woodworking also?
  14. The ATI may be the trick with a release in January, hot Christmas & Birthday money to spend.
  15. Nursing my wife, she had her wisdom teeth out so I'll be staying home with her.
  16. Have the ATIs been released yet?
  17. Thanks Steele, the HV isn't a problem that is all I buy for my Browning Buckmark. If that is all to the change calibers it'll work for me. I may just have to do this in the near future.
  18. I wasn't sure where to put this here or general talk, but since no one got hurt I'll go with funny http://www.usatoday.com/news/offbeat/2009-09-04-cannon-shot-hits-house_N.htm?csp=YahooModule_News
  19. I read Guns, American Handgunner, American Hunter (even though I don't hunt), American Rifleman, and America's Freedom (three NRA members in the same house). I look here, Charles Daly Forum, Beretta Forum, Rimfire Central Forum, Gunblast and Marlin Owner's Forum.
  20. I was looking at their web site today and have a couple of questions for those who may have gone this route. How well does it work? I don't want a lot of FTEs it screws with my rythm and fun. Is it the switch over easy enough between the two I wouldn't notice will doing my regular after shooting cleaning? Will it cause problems with the pistol in .45acp mode?
  21. Didn't see that OMG!
  22. The MG42 mod takes a 50rd drum, so much for the savings of going .22 lol. The SAW mod is cool too, but very pricey.
  23. So if I start down this road with a basic 10/22 and start putting mods into and unto it, will I ever be able to stop? I never realized all that was out there for them. Hmmmmmmmmm
  24. Now that is swwweeeeeet!
  25. Very well thought out report, thanks for the info.
