I picked up a new .22 today a Ramset Powder Fastning System. >:D Have to secure my gun cabinet to the concrete slab floor. Plus I've got to redo my dog yard fence this summer which is attached a cinderblock wall.

When I was stationed in Korea we use to keep ramen and beef jerky for emergency rations for when we got snowed into the barracks. We had MREs also but you only ate those if you really had no choice. MRE = Meals Rejected by Ethopia.

I have Crimson Trace on my 5" 1911 I keep in the nightstand for first grab at night it is very easy to follow even if you've just been woke up. Suprisingly, it shows up well when I take it to the range for practice.

Is the Savage 24 series still made?

We had a night it hit -25 which hadn't happened since 1939 and a week or more it never broke freezing which almost never happens. Not to cold for some but when you live without those bone chilling Northest Temps for enough years your blood thins.

Spent the afternoon playing with my Marlin 925R, while sitting in the sun ;D, didn't even have a coat on. As much as I like my tricked out 10/22, I still enjoy shooting this inexpensive bolt action. I almost sold it to speed up the saving for my AR, glad I didn't. It is a great rifle to work on basics with! It was so cold here for most of January and the first week of Feburary, it was really nice to be out in just jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I hate having to wear thermals and and winter coveralls to have any fun, which I guess is why I don't ski or do other winter sports.

Should we send care packages? >:D

I guess private clubs may have more latitude at what they allow. Everyone has to go through the NRA Basic Pistol course when they become a member for the safety and insurance reasons. Our club has IDPA, Cowboy Action, Tactical .22. At a guess I'd think it would be better if you kept it just local so you don't have to worry about meeting someone else's standards. I'm lucky I live 1 county away from where the Ruger Rimfire holds their regional annual match, which I plan on attending this year. Open prize table and 2 days of shooting (1 rifle, 1 pistol) and a huge BBQ lunch both days.

I wonder if your bobcat will come back, are they territorial? Would it be worth setting up a game camera?
