If I remember right for the original TV show they designed the costume them found an actress to fit it. But if that is the new I think it will work.

Granted it has nothing to do with Tactical .22 but how many members shoot trap, skeet or sporting clays and what type of shotgun do you use? I'd very much like to get involved in something competive with a shotgun. Were I a younger me in better health I'd try 3-Gun but I think it might be to much for me. There are months the Tactical Rimfire matches wear me out. I fear Sporting clays may be the same because my clubs course is far from easy terrain.

Assault on a reporter should be a felony for the reporter for getting in the way!

I was in Sportsman's Warehouse today and looking at the .22lr. They had a brand it was Pete's or Peter's in .22lr high velocity 40gr lead round nose. I tried searching for it on Google when I got home. All I could find was about Peters Cartridge which is out of business in 1944 but may have been purchased by Remington but again very little info. Checked Remington's ammunition site nada. My interest is peaked if for no other reason than the Peters Cartridge company was very near where I spent my teen years in Kings Mills, OH.

Any insight on learning to shoot left-handed??
asmurff replied to wobblinwheel's topic in Colt Umarex General
I'm a leftie, but routinely shoot with both hands as a training exercise. I'd recommend just lots of dry fire at home to develop the muscle memory in the handling of the rifle. The awkwardness is caused by lack of muscle memory for that hold and it takes time, specially since you're now using both your non-dominate eye and hand. I've shot left handed rifles and done care for them and finding parts or accessories is more difficult. There are left or ambi charging handles whether any fit the .22 I don't know -
A lot of the people I shoot our Tactical .22 Matches with use it with no major problems I see, I don't believe I've shot it in my semi-autos, but have used it in my bolt action .22 with good results.

Naw I won't be buying one but I was shocked at the low price. I might add it to the bottom of my wish list, which I might add makes Calvin's Christmas list look small of "Calvin & Hobbes"

That is a nice case, and at the price hard to beat.

FYI there is a magazine subscription renewal scam going on. The notice looks like your normal magazine renewal notice but the amount is wrong and the addresses are wrong also. It happen to us with our American Handgunner magazine, through no fault of FMG. So if you get any renewals notices from Magazine Distribution Service (MDS) or their other scam names I located for this crook (Orbital Publishing Group, Inc) (Publishers Billing Association) or (Publishers Billing Exchange) The address all of them use is 216 Lemmon Dr # 357, Reno, V 89506 Contact your magazine directly and let them know. I'm in the precess of writing to the BBB of Nevada and the Nevada AG, plus I'll send on to the NM AG as well.

Firearm Trends - Whats in the future? is wood dead?
asmurff replied to imschur's topic in General Talk
I like wood but firearm makers can't compete while putting good wood and workmanship in to wooden stocks. I agree with MG I think wood is going to only be found on custom jobs. Plus few of the younger generations have been exposed to any kind of woodworking, most schools closed their shops years ago for liability reason. I would love to try making my own stocks, but the blanks big enough for stocks are expensive, or if you want to go the laminate route the gear is expensive. Exotic woods here in NM require constant attention to prevent them from drying out to much then cracking or splitting. -
I save all the pictures and put together a Word file, but stop for dinner and to watch a movie and you beat me to it

Still doing it but not as often, came back from the range and ordered a new recoil spring which should be here by next Wednesday, which will give me time to install and test it before our Tactical Rimfire Match on Saturday. It has around 1500 round through it but I haven't found a recommended replacement count.

Good find, I'd seen one years ago at a fundraiser for DAV they were auctioning it off.

I've seen M2 .50s in the air while watching for a side postion.

I think I've got the pistol fixed, the ejector did look like it was being hit by the slide so I bent it back down ever so sligthly. Plus I got a F.A.T torque wrench for putting the screws back in, I torqued them to about 12 inch pound and the slide seems to have bit more play in it. I'll find out for sure tomorrow I'll take it to the range and test fire it.

I used Testor's model paint and a toothpick to get the paint into the grooves. Then a q-tip with paint remover to clean up any oops.
