Hey as long it has "minute of bad guy" accuracy at the ranges concealed handguns are used for it would be good. Don'y know the price on the Kimber but it looks good nicely setup for with little or nothing to catch on when drawing.

I hope the Second Amendment rights groups are planning legal challenges to this asinine law.

Glad to have you.

This is just a guess, I've had magazines for other rifles or pistols which seemed to need time for the springs to break-in or something.

I have 3 spinning targets, all bought. 2 have just one spinner each the other has 3 progressively smaller ones. I like the instant feedback from shooting them and if I go to the range during the week I can usually get away with spreading them out enough to practice for our tactical .22 matches, which are shot at 25 yds for rifle at steel plates. If you buy them stick to the ones rated for .22, I have one for 9mm and it is to heavy to spin and I worry about a ricochets so set it back further. I wish I had the metal working tools to make my own.

The gun club I belong to has a monthly Tactical .22 Match. We started last July and till now we've done rifles only, but starting this month we're going to do pistols also. It is sort of IDPA for .22s, we aren't affilated with any natonal group, but one you might want to check on is "Ruger Rimfire" We keep score, but we are more out there for fun. I shoot a 10/22 with an ATI stock and a BEC scope, I probably won't win any competitions but it has improved my shooting. Another advantage is you get to see how different .22s handle and shoot. Future plans may include longer range .22 sniping

I think I'd have to ask that same question to CCI before I shot them. I've heard some pretty out there BS lines from vendors at gun shows.

That Kel Tec is pretty cool, and if all you want is a home defense gun it would fit the bill. But with an MSRP of around $800, I don't know.
-
Were you referring to standard velocity CCI .22LR ammo?

Amazon is also a good source for holsters and grips.

Federal 525 isn't bad ammo, you may have a few failure to fires, but if you get to many from one box contact federal they will usually make it more than right. Because it is sold at Wal-Mart doesn't mean it is cheaper. Every store that sells ammo in my area carries Federal 525 or the Auto Match 325, I buy both but also buy CCI Mini-Mags (also sold at Wal-Mart) for the competitions I shoot in. I plink and practice all the time with Federal .22.

My personal opinion is the law abiding citizen should have no requirement to retreat and any law saying otherwise is unconstitutional.

Welcome to the fun.

I used Thunderbolts once when you couldn't hardly find ammo and I used it in my Marlin bolt-action 925R and had several failure to fires and the rifle was filthy after, haven't bought any Remington .22 since then. I use Federal in the Marlin or when plinking with my 10/22, use CCI Mini Mags during our Tactical .22 matches at the gun club. I know a lot of people our using the Blazers, including the guy who runs our matches..

I agree they should join, many questions apply to many of us who sometimes just hadn't thought to ask, plus everyone brings some experience, some vast amounts of experience and knowledge.

Glad you joined us Joe.
