  1. Exit hole? Welcome to Tac22 BTW.
  2. OK, I get part of that, but my understanding (albeit limited) is that a rimfire production line can't be converted to centerfire. The tooling, components and processes are specific to rimfire. The .22lr manufacturers say they are running balls to the walls, so where is it all going?
  3. I found this an entertaining read. READ IT HERE :thumb:
  4. Still have not received it, apparently it is in a Yak caravan traveling across the Caucasus on it's way here from the mother country. >:(
  5. HERE - I want!
  6. Does anyone have a food saver? One of the kitchen gadgets that vacuum seals food in plastic - I am thinking about getting one to seal my ammo boxes, but wanted to hear from someone that has one. Will it accommodate say, a Federal Bulk 550 box? How expensive is the plastic? What's the best kind to get? Thanks! TM
  7. Finally made it to the range! Just took my Colt .22 and GSG 1911-22. Finished off an open box of Federal Bulk, ahhhh - the smell of gunpowder in the morning. The 50 yard range at my club has been closed for painting, then it has rained every day for 3 weeks, raining now as a matter of fact, so this was a sweet morning! The Colt still shoots into "minute-of-chipmunk" at 50 yards. The GSG is a hoot to shoot, has to be the most reliable .22 pistol I have owned. Doesn't seem to be picky about ammo at all. ;D
  8. I had the day off, my Sweetie had to work the night before and night of. I put a new stereo in my Blazer. Then for dinner I took a pork tenderloin , pounded parts of it flat, battered & deep fried em. Makes great sandwiches, almost like the county fair.
  9. Did you check the ammo finder in the first post?
  10. Everyone have an enjoyable day, enjoy what freedoms you have, and don't burn the meat! July 4th trivia and quizzes
  11. That is..... odd.

Been raining every day here for two weeks.
  13. That one is behind me, I don't have to look at it. ::)
  14. This is it, it really works!
  15. But, ye gods the prices! Ammo Finder :o
  16.
  17. LINK. And a lava lamp on the desk......
  18. Negatory on the address. You are probably correct on the nylon, it deforms easily.
  19. LINK to the part, it is made from semi-soft plastic, and passes a .252" steel rod in the center. It rides in an other plastic part and is what causes the turret to index 90 degrees when the twisted part of the steel rod passes through. Outside dimension is 0.448", then there is a step and the other outside dimension is 0.320". Total height is 0.146", if you want to PM me your address I can send you a new one for your inspection. Thanks, Mike
  20. Hollow points were just made to be filled with bacon grease.....
  21. Got to get some of this LINK Want to bet they sell out of stock, and the libs will have a hissy fit?
  22. I can do that.
  23. That would probably work, but I would prefer aluminum. If I can find a source, I want to get at least 100 made to start, (as long as they do not cost as much as a new press) as I am not the only one out here with a Lee Turret Press. ;D
  24. Howdy & Welcome.
  25. Hey Dusty, I have tried several different lubes, will see about getting some of the Mobil. The problem is the ratchet is a very weak part. It is plastic, it rides inside another plastic part, and has a steel square rod that is twisted 90 degrees running through the center. The plastic to steel interface is where it wears out. Since I have mounted a powder dispenser on the turret, all of that extra mass accelerates the wear. When it gets worn out, the turret stops lining up where it should. I don't really want to get a progressive, as I like this this Lee except for this one part. So I want to try getting this wee part made from aluminum. Or something a bit harder that the plastic it is currently made from.
