Yeah, right. I am going to the range, practice my marksmanship, and enjoy the smell of Freedom - fast burning smokeless powder.

You have a car in your eye? That must hurt.

Thanks Smurf!

Thanks for the info-good stuff on the wood bleach. A tech library? :thumb: :thumb: Yeah, that is what I found. The employees at the box stores don't even know what wood bleach is.
-
That is what I found at Woodcraft - Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrogen Peroxide - it is OK, but not as effective as the old oxalic crystals - I could mix that in a stronger concentration for spot applications on dark spots.
-
Thanks MG. Having issues with the bleaching process. Last time I used wood bleach, it was just oxalic acid crystals that you mixed with water. Can't find it anywhere. Had to try some 2 part liquid product that is not as effective. There seems to be many products that are not available anymore.

Welcome Peter!

Hello Peter, and welcome to Tac.22. I think that you will have to stick with the Colt/Umarex magazines. I have a 10, 20 and two 30s.and use the 10 the most for bench shooting. The mags in your link are for .22 rimfire conversions for AR type rifles. They don't fit in the Colt/Umarex. Regards, TM

+1 on the Colibri. :thumb:

Good link - I may order the accessory kit - it has the different sight inserts that did not come with the used one. Thanks Drew!

The link for the used ones - http://site.cdnninvestments.com/CDNN2011-3/index.html - it is on page 65 - type 65 into the box at the bottom. You will have to call in to order. Mine arrived in good shape, all the numbers match, but, it does not have a walnut stock as advertised-it is some type of birch. I am in process of refinishing mine. Finish removed, bleaching it tonight, pre-stain conditioner tomorrow, then some Watco danish oil finish. All the metal parts except the barrel have been marinating in the ultrasonic cleaner. No work needed there except oiling after rinsing. The sight is in good working order, looking forward to some serious range time with this. :thumb:

Question is: Did the FBI raid the place to find evidence of fraud, or were they ordered in to cover up the fraud and the WH's complicity??? C:-)

It is nice when the BGs announce their intentions by slamming doors, attitude, ect. Job well done to your co-worker, and the store clerk!

A young guy from up north moves to Texas and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job. The Manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?" The kid says "Yeah. I was a salesman back in Wisconsin ." Well, the boss liked the kid and gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did." His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down. "How many customers bought something from you today? The kid says "one". The boss says "Just one? Our sales people average 20 to 30 customers a day. How much was the sale for?" The kid says "$141,237.65". The boss says "$141,237.65? What the heck did you sell?" The kid says, "First, I sold him a small fish hook. Then I sold him a medium fishhook. Then I sold him a larger fishhook. Then I sold him a new fishing rod and reel. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4x4 Expedition." The boss said "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a BOAT and a TRUCK?" The kid said "No, the guy came in here to buy Tampons for his wife, and I said, 'Dude, your weekend's shot, you should go fishing.

In an attempt at a "trigger job" on my Colt/Umarex M4, I accidentally achieved that condition. I promptly returned the trigger to OEM condition, and sent it to Bill Springfield for his professional attention. It is now about 4.5 lbs pull and crisp.
-
Nice, MG! Just received mine, the wood is intact, but will need to be refinished, all the metal is in great shape, trigger pull is set to about 1lb. Will post some pics later today. You are correct, this is one heavy sucker!

There is all kinds of 12 ga specialty ammo out there. I have wanted to try the one called "dragon's breath", but you need a non-flammable desert area. Door breaching rounds, flash/bangs, flares, ect, ect. Firequest Click on ammo, exotic 12 ga
