I own (2) mod 41's. An old 7 3/8" with muzzle brake & loaded chamber indicator and a (4) year old Houlton built 5 1/2". Both are fantastic. If I could only own one rimfire it would be a 41, or maybe a S&W 17.
I own one in green. Lots of reliability mods on line for them but mine has functioned near flawlessly without performing any of them. Reasonably accurate and a real kid magnet.
Got me one. Looks and shoots pretty nice. Aluminum slide, polymer frame and stainless barrel. (2) very well made magazines and (2) recoil springs, one for standard velocity and one for high velocity. Will not cycle subsonics.
I received my new Puma PPS Wildcat 50 round 3 days ago and within 10 minutes the crappy 50 rnd drum magazine broke. The main spring popped out of it's slot in the spindle. After disassembling and reinserting the mainspring about 5 times, which takes 2 people to do, I called Legacy Sports who imediately offered to repair or replace the drum OR exchange it for (2) 30 rnd stick mags. I opted for the stick mags. The service tech stated they had updated polymer drum mags being mfg in USA for the rifle but wouldn't be available until October. The rifle is pretty nice but don't waste your money on the flimsey metal drum magazine. Get the stick mag version or wait for the new polymer drum.
This is the sight I installed on my Colt M4 OPS. The intregral battery compartment / riser allows the rear sight to remain installed on the picatinny rail. It has a cross hair reticle with graduated military style marks. Works fine and looks good.
I'm a FFL dealer and ordered the pistol sight unseen. I've not seen any others to compare. Price was just over $400. As a comparison, I purchased a CZ 75 Kadet at about the same time. The CZ was about $100 more than the SIG but is a far better pistol in both reliability and accuracy. The CZ's finish is uniform and the mags are easy to load (it came with 2). I own a lot of .22's and this SIG falls short.
Hello everyone. My first day. My new 226 22 Classic has been disappointing. The frame is typical SIG quality (being a standard centerfire frame) but the American made slide doesn't live up to SIG standards IMO. The slide's splotchy, modeled finish is noticeably different from the frame and looks like an add on. The magazines are hard to load, lacking a folower button. Reliability was dicey until I lapped the slide which has made a major improvement. And only one mag in the box???? At these prices you'd think they could provide two. A la cart pricing. It's starting to grow on me now but I don't feel like I got a bargain. Hey, where's the "spell check" button?
