  1. Fired the Kalashnikov this morning. About 250rnds of cheap Remington bulk Golden Bullets. All shots standing at 15 yards. Only one malfunction, a FT Eject. Was grouping about 2", but I wasn't really trying to wring out it's accuracy potential. Just firing for function. It handled great. Magazine easy to load. I gotta say, it was a lot of fun to shoot and I can't wait to give it a real workout. It's a keeper...so far.
  2. Think it'll come with a drag chute?
  3. Couldn't find any solid info. My guess is a firearm that can go from a 2" bbl to a 26" bbl, adequate for hummingbirds to bull elephants, cost under $100. The "MAGIC" gun. Where do I sign? ;D
  4. Here's photos from the seller.
  5. I already own a 106 Military Supermatic Trophy. This is the same pistol without the rear sight saddle, fluted barrel or muzzle brake. Kind of a budget version.
  6. Just bought me one. 95-98% according to seller. With (3) original mags, box & papers. Made my day.
  7. Not yet. Looking foward to it.
  8. A tribute to the little rifle's versatility.
  9. Be careful not to start giggling at the range. The other shooters will look at you real funny. :thumb:
  10. Hey, someone in here buying beer?
  11. The mod 87 has an aluminum barrel shroud and double action trigger. The mod 89's barrel is milled from a solid steel monobloc and has a single action trigger. The mod 89 is therefore heavier with a better trigger. The mod 87 has an accessory rail that the 89 lacks. The mod 89 instead has an underbarrel weight that is interchangable. Although I have never seen any additional weights for sale. The mod 89 is no longer in production.
  12. I've got the model 89 Gold Standard. Fantastic pistol. I also own a mod 76 Target. These Beretta's are very competent. Sorry for the hi-jack.
  13. The replacement 24 round magazine just arrived from ATI. Took exactly 2 weeks from date of call. Now I'm gonna try the new Kalashnakov out.,
  14. You know what they say. Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and earn over $12 an hour as a DeVry College Certified Fishing Instructor. Start on your NEW career path in as little as 6 weeks. Operators are standing by.
  15. According to Ruger it's a 10/22 inside of a Nordic Components aftermarket receiver shell. It appears to just add bulk, weight & expense to a standard 10/22. I'd still buy one, what the hell.
  16. Welcome Cyclone.
  17. It looks like a viable excuse to buy another 10/22.
  18. Damn, are you living the life or what.
  19. 2G22. Sounds good.
  20. I'd almost forgotten about those little junkers (Protecs). I hate to own up to it but I once bought an Astra A70 9mm because it looked like a SIG. That's where the similarities ended. I also at one time in my life bought a Star Firestar 9mm, don't remember why, but it was a mistake. I avoid Spanish firearms now.
  21. It's a myth as far as I can tell.
  22. They're all good but affectionados seem to prefer the older models with the anodized receivers and aluminum trigger groups as opposed to the current models with painted receivers and polymer trigger groups. Keep in mind that the VERY old 10/22's have barrels threaded to the receivers making aftermarket barrels non-existant. These older threaded models from the 60's are rare and somewhat collectable.
  23. The problem seems to be that the screws tend to shoot loose and the factory screws are soft steel which strips easily, even when using the provided tool. You would need to return the rifle to it's original condition for warrenty work I believe.
  24. Don't own a .17HMR but I do own (3) .17HM2's. A CZ 452 Varmint, a Volquartsen Standard and an Anschutz 1702. Them little 17's are fun.
  25. And I was thinking of ordering one just to show my security in my masculinity.
