I carry daily for defensive purposes, but, rimfire, for me, is a purely recreational endeavour and I stockpile only as a means of entertainment. Not that I wouldn't use rimfire for survival but all of my rimfire purchases are inspired by fun. Centerfire serves more of a dual purpose for me and any ammo selections reflect that.
And, IIRC, Ciener was arrested during the past year on fraud charges for selling defective products and failing to correct the issues or refund monies.
If I were ever forced to bash someone in the head with a handgun it would be in a life and death situation and only after the handgun became completely useless otherwise, so, for me, it's a moot point. I agree, the SR22 is a very nice and affordable pistol. It's aluminum slide makes it instantly superior to it's direct competitors, the Walther P22 and the SIG Mosquito's zinc alloy slides. I'll end up owning a SR22 someday.
I agree on the color, the best for Florida. I still own a truck, a Chevy 3500 dualie with a 454, just can't afford to drive it unless I have to. This car is replacing my Ford Escape, the car I commuted 95 miles per day in. A great SUV, but with a V6 and 21mpg the gas money I save with the Mitsu will pay for the car in seven years. A free car, so to speak.
A 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage ES. Ain't it cute. 1.2 liter engine w/CVT transmission. I've been getting 47-49mpg on the highway. Nimble, fun and surprisingly roomy. It's got lots of extras. Liking it so far (bought it a little over two weeks ago).
