  1. RR, Reading your story of the fate of those wonderful handguns darkens my day. I can only imagine your anguish and hope I never experience the same.
  2. RR, I guess we don't have it so bad with the barrel length requirements then.
  3. RR, You wouldn't believe the hoops we have to jump through to get a rifle barrel that short here in the US. Mininum barrel length allowed is 16" without a federal tax stamp which entails forming an irrevocable trust and months of wait. 16" or longer, just go to the gun shop and buy it w/ a simply background check and maybe a three day wait, depending on where you live. Easy. I'm envious.
  4. RR, How long is the barrel on that HK?
  5. Oooooooo Weeeeeeee !!!!!
  6. Welcome to T22 R-R. I like the rifle and the red carpet.
  7. Welcome to T22 Chapps. The little SIG is a good looking fun rifle. I believe it's a rifle you'll be proud to own.
  8. I've owned two from the original manufacturer, Armalite. They were very cool but not very good performers, and many consider the Armalites to be the best of the three different mfgs., Armalite, Charter Arms and now Henry. The biggest difference between the Henry and the others is the barrel. The barrels used to be aluminum with a steel liner while the Henry uses a plastic barrel with a steel liner. Don't know if one is better than the other.
  9. Remington 552 Speedmaster semi-auto is designed to fire all three. You can even mix them up in the magazine tube. I've owned one for years. It's still in production and a great rifle. Remington's pump version of this rifle will do the same.
  10. Looking forward to the results.
  11. Oh yeah, I forgot, we're talking about rodent's post. ;D
  12. I get the high mileage. I wouldn't associate with any woman who's standards are low enough to be attracted to me.
  13. Look out Rodent! By the size of those foot prints it looks like a bear is stalking you. ;D
  14. The only thing more fun than a 22 is a bunch of 22s. :thumb:
  15. Gotta say, that looks good. I also like the inside of your garage door.
  16. Glad to be of use.
  17. Man! That's some good looking handy work. Would it be possible to use a dimmer switch to regulate temperature?
  18. Good news. No harm no foul.
  19. Best luck with Black Dog Machining and Rimfire Technologies.
  20. I didn't want to pee on your parade when I read your first post but now I will say. A buddy of mine who teaches a Florida concealed weapon class bought two of these lasers with the electronic targets for use in his classes. The lasers break on a regular basis and are sent back for replacement, which the manufacturer does happily. My friend has to pay shipping both ways. His have not been reliable.
  21. I do not believe constant compression damages magazine springs but rather cycling (compressing and relieving) mag springs is what fatigues them. That said, l keep several defensive firearm magazines constantly loaded but rimfire magazines are usually stored empty.
  22. Great score. We scored 3 lousey bricks of Federal Game Shok .22lr for the shop this week and was happy to get it. This stuff is like striking gold.
  23. I mentioned this revolver in the What's on order thread. Picked it up today and here it is. It's a 6 shot .22lr single action revolver with a case colored frame, blued steel grip frame, cylinder with recessed chambers and 4.75" barrel. It has a hammer mounted firing pin like the Colt SAA and NO transfer bar. Being all steel, the same size as a .45 SAA and having such small charge holes and bore makes it pretty heavy. It is beautiful. A bargain at the $428 I paid for it. Can't wait to shoot the crap out of it.
  24. Welcome from Florida.
  25. I used to own a Colt/Umarex M4 OPS but it didn't exhibit this problem. It's biggest problem was failure to cycle. Had problems keeping the recoil spring properly adjusted.
