  1. Hello, You guys don't know how good you've got it in the US. Best price over in the UK for an Ops model is £555 which is what I got it for. But that's still about $860. Being into shooting over here isn't cheep! >:( Glowin
  2. I am. Try the official Magpul groups. They rock! Glowin
  3. Hi, I say don't fix the stock with tape and use the wobble as an excuse to buy the CTR stock sooner! You can see who holds the purse strings in my house!! :o Cheers Glowin
  4. Hi Guys, Just been to the range with the new M4 Ops and had a great time. The place I bought the rifle from also sold me some Geco .22 l.r. Rifle ammo. Apparently it's made by RWS. I was a little worried that it'd spoil my first outing with the new rifle. I shouldn't have worried. I spent the first thirty rounds zeroing my PS22 site and by the end was achieving 1/2 inch groups resting at 30 yards. The rest of the evening was spent rapid firing and with a massive smile spread across my Chevy. Not a single problem. Good stuff. :thumb: Cheers Glowin
  5. Hi Guys, I'm now properly one of you all again. Picked it up yesterday and try it out tonight down the range. Added some bits I had lying about but will replace them over the next few months. Got my eye on some MOE bits. Oh and does anyone have any ideas what to secure a pressure switch with? Cheers Glowin
  6. I used it for a bit in my Walther G22 and that was a fussy rifle. No problems with it at all. Totally agree.
  7. I'm guessing dangermouse is involved in this then? Good stuff. I'll give him a shout. Thanks
  8. Hi guys, I was wondering how I can find out about these Mini Rifle competitions and how to go about signing up. I started complaining we didn't have anything like this about five years ago when I bought my G22. I obviously wasn't looking hard enough! Thanks Glowin
  9. I once got through to a competition final at the Bisley range using my Walther G22. I loved turning up with a semi auto sporting a red dot site with a smiley acid face sprayed on the dust cap. Everyone else there had proper looking bolt action rifles with scopes. And there's a reason for it. Which is why I bought a CZ 453 varmint and an MTC Viper 3-12x44 scope for competitions. Have fun with the GSG and get a cheap little bolt action for competitive shooting I say. It olny cost me £500 for my setup and it'll knock the centre out of a target all day long. It makes you appreciate the semi autos more too as you shoot them for the enjoyment of shooting. Just my opinion though. Glowin I know I could do with some taller mounts!
  10. Thanks for the further welcomes, Mr Pint I've got a Walther PS22 site to put on along with a tacticle green laser and pressure switch that can go on straight away. Then I was thinking Magpul XTM rail covers an MOE stock and an MOE grip and the rear backup site. I'm not too far from Coventry. Just up the M6 in a town called Stone. Anyway I'll get some photo's up on Wednesday. Cheers Glowin
  11. Hi Guys, Due to pick up an M4 Ops on Wednesday but I'm getting cold feet namely in the form of the M&P15-22. What are people opinions on here? I like that the M4 is metal but don't mind polymer too much as my old Walther G22 was the same. I do like that the bolt release works on the M&P but over here in the UK the only place selling the M&P is asking £650 (just over $1000) compared to £575 (just under $900). And £75 for a working bolt release seems pretty heavy. I don't know what to do! Cheers Glowin
  12. Cheers for the welcome guys. I'm not sure how popular the Colts are over here Microgunner but I can't see how they wouldn't be. Like I said before semi auto AR15's are a no no over here unless you buy a proper conversion which'll cost quite a bit more. These Colts/S&W's/GSG's are the first easily customisable rifles you can buy over here from what I've seen. The Walther was a great looking thing but there wasn't a lot you could do with it. It was also very picky about what ammunition I put through it rodent.22 so I was thinking of sticking with the Winchester T22 rounds that worked well with the G22. Any other suggestions? Glad to hear that the Magpul extras go on without too much fuss. I've got my Christmas list for at least the next few years sorted! You have to have suppressors added onto your firearms licence over here and as I've no need for one I wouldn't be able to add it I don't think so I won't need any thread adaptors.
  13. Hi everyone, I just came across the site and thought I'd sign up. I'm from the UK and have been shooting since I was small. I just sold my Walther G22 a week or so back and pick up my Colt M4 ops on Wednesday and I'm more than a little excited. A little sad to see the Walther go as even though I've been shooting for a while my Mum wasn't too happy with me having firearms in the house so I only got my licence five years ago when I moved to my first house and the Walther was my first ever rifle. I took my PS22 site off the Walther and intend to put it on the Colt (Walther/Umarex) but think I'll save up and get an EOTech at some point. Overkill I'm sure for a .22 but there's no way in hell I could get a semi auto AR15 over here so this is as good as it gets for me. And a quick question, do most of the Magpul parts fit the M4 Ops? I've been sucked in by there marketing and can't wait to get some of their accessories! Cheers Gareth/Gaz/Glowin
