Colt/Umarex/Walther Tactical .22 Ammo Thread
George Wood replied to SCORPiON5150's topic in Colt Umarex General
I recently ran through a box of Fed bulk (550) amo that I purchased from WM and had only 1 FTF. And at $15 a box it does not get much better than that. -
I have talked to UMX tech support in the past and they seem helpful and knowledgeable. Good place to start.

Welcome to the forum from the great state of Texas.

Good choice. I know that you will be just as happy with the M4 OPS as I am. Post pic when you get it.

Amazing what you will find when you are not looking!

Thinking of adding a Sig 522 to keep my Colt M4 company.

Free does not get much better than that. Keep that camera clicking.

A big Thank You call out to TechMike. Last night I was cleaning my Colt M4 Ops after a weekend visit to the range where I put about 500 round through it. I really like this rifle. Anyway, after I had finished cleaning I happened to notice a small spring and pin laying in the breech. No clue what they were, where they came from, or where they went. Looking at the parts diagram in the instruction book did not help either. Then I remembered TechMike’s power point post on cleaning this rifle so I grabbed by iPad and reviewed the presentation. Sure enough there was the pin and spring clearly labeled with detailed instructions as to where it went and how to get it there. (Yes I had removed the suppresser and that allowed the barrow to slide loose thus freeing the pin and spring). THANKS TechMike you saved the day.

I am not sure what you mean by slide but they are visible and justified right. Hope that helps. I can send you a screen shot if you like but I can not find a way to put it into this post.

Speaking as an IT guy waiting for a Sys Admin is a GOOD thing. I are one and I would wait for me too.

Linda Carter will always be wonder women but....Wonder Woman V2, well the field is wide open. (With some excellent candidates). Wonder if they would let us choose?
-
Will dry fireing my Colt M4 cause any damage to the rifle? I have heard both ways and I know my Sig P232 recommends not to. Just asking.
-
That would be funny if it were not so true to form.
