My first stock broke after a month of short travel to the range and back. I am going on 9 months with the replacement stock.For me it has held up a lot better.

I removed the magazine safety on my GSG 1911, and it goes to half cock and full cock when I pull back on the hammer. I would probably try to re-install the main spring housing, something doesn't sound right.

Where I live in Wisconsin, they are 1.99/box of 50. Sometimes you can find them at 1.70 if they are on sale. They are the exact same price as Federal Champion, and more than Federal Lightning.

I wonder if they will still sell the 50 round packs of Federal Lightning. I just saw them at the Walmart near me for $1.50/ea.

My friend has the mp 15-22. Its a really nice weapon. I wanted something different so we can trade guns and have a different shooting experience from time to time.

Got my MK22 last week and have the same issue with the fore sight. I am going to have to try your fix for it. I got lucky and have a stock without play. ;D
