  1. What are you guys using as targets. With a .22 there are a lot of options.Shooting paper targets is great for zeroing your optics. But for me it got a little boring. I wanted a reaction from my target. So I bought a target that has 3 different sized paddles and the spin around when you hit them. Then I bought a reset target that has 4 paddles that you shoot and they stay up until you shoot the 5th paddle to reset them. I also bought a 10 inch self-healing gong for longer-range (100 yards). I've bought cases of bottled water from Walmart to shoot. Lately I've been buying a 15 pound bag of potatoes for less than $5. The nice thing about potatoes is you don't have to clean them up, unlike bottled water. Not only that, with the hollow point round, they blow up! I'm interested in hearing about what kind of things you guys are using as targets.
  2. I paid about $450. Where did you find 15 round magazines? I've only seen 3 different magazines for this gun. The 25 rounder, the 25 rounder that's pinned to 10 rounds and the newer, short 10 round magazine. All are made by Smith & Wesson.
  3. Call Smith & Wesson. They have some of the best customer service in the industry. Your stock should adjust.
  4. I haven't tried shooting paper at 100 yards for grouping purposes but I do have a 10 inch self-healing target that I can easily hit at 100 yards. I'm using a fairly cheap Barska 4x32 scope and CCI Blazer ammo. I imagine with the right ammo and optics you could get fairly good groups.
  5. First of all I have a Smith & Wesson M&P AR15-.22. Initially I was shooting CCI Blazer. The Blazer ammo worked flawlessly. I've used over 1000 rounds with no failures. More recently I've been using Remington's Golden Bullet. They are brass–plated hollow points. These work but they are unbelievably dirty. I fired over 1500 of these and I can't wait until they're gone. This past weekend I fired 2 magazines of Blazer then 2 magazines of the Remington. We were shooting off of a white table and I noticed after the Remington rounds there was a pile of black soot-like substance on the table. This Remington stuff gunks up my gun really fast.
  6. After 500 rounds of .223 or .308, not only is your shoulder sore but your wallet is empty. :-[
  7. Don't get mad Colt guy but.... I would rather have a gun that shoots well all of the time than a great shooting gun that works part time. :o
  8. I bought this AR-15/M16 GPS-LE GRIP POD from Brownells.com. It is very sturdy and well built. It's $95 but well worth it, in my opinion. I love it. SPECS: Reinforced polymer, black. 6¼†(15.9cm) long with legs retracted. 8½†(21.6cm) high with legs extended. 13⁄8" (3.5cm) diameter. 7 oz. (197g). http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=26383/Product/AR_15_M16_GPS_LE_GRIP_POD#
  9. I just bought one at a gun show in Columbia, SC. $449.00. I hope to do a little shooting tomorrow. ;D
