    Help

    OMG thats funny!!! ;D
  2. Or let the lead fly!!!
  3. possibly the ejector? I have seen where the ejector needs to be tweeked a bit by ever so slightly bending it out toward the ejection port. I have seen a Youtube vid on what to do so you might check it out. Did the empty case turn sideways or do they just ram forward kinda crushing beer can style? If crushing straight it is more likely the extractor, or in my case the lack of an extractor, which jumped ship during a trip to the range last spring. S&W fixed it for free but took a few weeks to ship it there and back. Haven't had any issues since.
  4. Good stuff :thumb:
  5. http://www.ijreview.com/2013/04/44817-15-year-old-girl-smokes-gun-control-arguments/ Put that in your pipe and smoke it. 8)
  6. Just ordered the S&J hardware delrin follower http://sjhardware.com/store/modules.php?name=catalog&file=product_info&cPath=107_123&products_id=348off of the unmentionable online auction site. Just $15 with free shipping. If ordered from the S&J site they charge $14 just for the shipping. After more online research I've decided to get the Black Aces Quad rail instead of the Aim Sports one because its almost half the weight. 14oz Vs. 25oz. Plus some of the reviews for the Aim Sports rail claimed the rails sharp edges were pretty hard on the hands.
  7. Yeah I know. I decided to use the original sliding buttstock from my M&P 15-22 on the rem870 and thought the 15-22 was commercial. Well as it turns out it is mil-spec so when I bought a commercial buffer tube to install on the rem870 pistol grip adapter, it didn't fit. Milled out the center of the old sliding stock from the 15-22 and now it fits the commercial tube just fine. The funny thing is I replaced the original "mil-spec" sliding stock on the 15-22 with a commercial MOE stock and it fits nicely. So apparently the 15-22 integrated stock tube is a bit larger than a true Mil-spec tube, but smaller than a commercial tube. Anyway it looks and works great now.
  8. Good to know :thumb:
  9. Not sayin its a bad thing...
  10. yall r twisted... >:D
  11. Ok got the first wave of goodies for the new shotty. Install was a breeze (after machining out the apparently mil-spec stock to fit a commercial buffer tube). Anyway this setup feels great but accessing the action bar lock isn't exactly organic. Have to reach quite a bit from the pistol grip to release it. Here are some pics to see the results. Will be ordering the last few external upgrades in a few weeks. Then I'll move on to a few basic internal upgrades like an aluminum follower and stiffer spring. Pics to follow
  12. Finally received the AICS airsoft that will donate the stock for my XT-22. Now just gotta figure out the best way to mod it to secure the barrel, receiver, trigger, etc...
  13. Purchased my first shotgun on Friday and I couldn't wait to start dressin her up. I got the Rem870 Express Tactical. Ordered some goodies on amazon to make her even more SEXY. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LH2UEW/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005SGR1UI/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and coming soon... http://www.amazon.com/Sports-Length-Tactical-Shotgun-Saddle/dp/B005N888AI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2RNRRO2AVAA98&coliid=I3NE2J6H0JOKWO http://www.amazon.com/Barska-Remington-870-Handguard-Rails/dp/B00BMAPFOI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2RNRRO2AVAA98&coliid=I20P4J8X5PRMB Gotta wait til next month to get the rest and what ever I decide on for optics.
  14. Ok I finally purchased a descent looking AICS L96 airsoft rifle off of the unmentionable online auction site. Looking forward to modding it to be the new home for my Marlin XT-22. Should be interesting. Will post some pics as I go.
  15. I was lovin this post til I got to Microgunners last reply...
  16. Now I just gotta get a few goodies for it like clawmounted reflex sight and maybe a railed foregrip. Also gonna do the standard mods as per Kilibreaux's super awesome easy to follow posts in the mods section. :thumb:
  17. Paid for yesterday and picked up today. >:D I wonder why they don't make all the receivers on the other models of the 522 out of metal like on the 522pk. What a difference in feel.
  18. Now I just gotta wait till next week to pick it up.
  19. I picked one up several months ago from them off ebay. Gotta say I love it.
  20. There are lots of things to trick out you're 15-22. Check out the S&W15-22 section in the forums for a few easy and some not quite as easy ways to make it perform better. My fav easy one was to install a 1/4-28 set screw in the threaded hole for the grip to preload the trigger to shorten the trigger pull. You will need a shorter screw for the grip or ass a few washers to the original screw to make up for the space taken up by the set screw. Just gotta be carefull not to set it too tight and cause accidental discharge if you bump the gun. :P This little cheap and easy mod made a notable difference. Also if youre gonna use a scope I might suggest the NCstar P4 sniper 4X32 tactical scope. I have tried about 4 other scopes on my 15-22 and this one I like the best for fit and feel and wont break the bank. Ive attached a pic of my baby. Enjoy...
  21. a lil something from the web
  22. Another mans hope and dreams dashed :-[
  23. Ditto
  24. Ordered an aluminum charging handle w/ extended latch release for my 15-22 yesterday and is due to be delivered tommorow. Also ordered bipod and NCStar Mark III Tactical scope on amazon which is also due for delivery tomorrow. I will be installing the scope on my 15-22 to replace the CP variable scope which I just put on my new Marlin XT-22. Now if I could just find the right stock for the Marlin.
  25. I recently picked up a new Marlin XT-22 bolt action. I'm looking to do a tactical sniper type build on it but the availablility of aftermarket furniture for it is pretty limited. I have found some custom stocks from Boyds which look pretty nice but I'm lookin for a more agressive look. I have seen posts around from someone who installed the XT-22 into a modified airsoft AICS L96 stock. This setup looks great and would love to find something like it. http://www.ar15.com/mobile/topic.html?b=6&f=11&t=370367
