Popcop45 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Has anyone else blued their GSG-5 barrel? I am using Shooter Solutions Rugged Gun Blue (Only $14). I don't know why the barrel came un-blued in the first place but, I didn't like the flash hider of my GSG-5P and that short chrome barrel sticking out looked ugly, so I decided it was time to get down to some bluing. Navy 3 lug will cover it, but $70 bucks for that will have to wait a while.
447MSGT Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 I am going to Aluma-Hyde mine, on the new SD. Looks kinda silly at the end of the shroud with a silver barrel pokin out. Ive had good results with the Aluma-Hyde.

447MSGT Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Just plain ol' simple green. :thumb:
Popcop45 Posted December 31, 2010 Author Report Posted December 31, 2010 I wound up using Van's Instant Gun Blue. Van's has been in the bluing business since the 1940's, and the 4oz bottle was only 7 bucks.
