imschur Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Ive always installed my scopes by eye. This time around I was thinking I might like to try some of the installation tools that are out there. Do any of you folks have experience with these levels and rods and such? I did make my own scope lapping rod a few months back.
imschur Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 I decided in the interest of the website to purchase a few different scope leveling tools. The Wheeler "Level Level Level" and Neconos EXD Engineering Verticle Reticle Instrument ;D
imschur Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 Sweet! Where did you get them? The Wheeler was from Midway but its also available direct. The EXD came from Brownells. The links in the previous message go to the product pages at both sites ;D The wheeler got glowing and awful reviews, very strange. I have a precision level here that I will verify the Wheeler levels with.
asmurff Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009  You're suppose to level and align them! :-[ I just put it on the rifle and made sure it "looked" right.
imschur Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 Ill post later on why its important.I just received the tools. The two levels in the Wheeler kit dont read the same "level". Thats not good
