3S1K Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 So I got a 702 plinkster for my son for $50 used and figured he needed something a little more tactical since he loves my Sig 522. I didn't want to spend another $460 on a new gun so I figured I mod his. These are after I finished it but i smoothed out the rough parts and removed the front sight. Just waiting for new scope rings for my Millet Red Dot. The sight I was using was a toy red dot that came with it. It shot straight but was 6" high at 15yards. Also it fits very snug and doesn't rattle around or move inside. It's like they were made for each other  Only the Airsoft was modified, I could return it to stock within minutes. Here's a video of me testing it for the first time.
3S1K Posted June 16, 2011 Author Report Posted June 16, 2011 I got another airsoft mag that's filled with fake 5.7rounds and a rubber extended butt pad. Hopefully it will be in this week. My son loves it and I get the ps90 without the expensive ammo prices and $1500 price tag. Best accessorie I ever bought and only cost $40 shipped.
wbassett Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 I know this is an older thread and I apoligize about bringing it back but I am doing this exact same project. One question- How did you rig up the mag release?
3S1K Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 I use the stock mag release and make sure there's enough room for my to stick my thumb in
Microgunner Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 I didn't notice this back in June. That is so completely cool. :thumb:
wbassett Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 I guess for my first attempt I'll follow suit and default to sticking my finger inside to release the mag. I do want to make an external release though.
Tim Posted August 26, 2023 Report Posted August 26, 2023 I’m also doin one I’m drilling and tapping the front of mag release and adding a bit so it comes out it bottom works good I’m having a issue with trigger linkage can’t get it to feel right
JenningsP5 Posted November 15, 2023 Report Posted November 15, 2023 So what brand airsoft ps90 was used in this project. Is it still available to purchase. Anyone got a web link? I just recently acquired a 702 plinkster May try this out if I can find one.
