Microgunner
You're the only person I know who might have more insight into this very, very nice lattice guitar. I know it's off topic for T22 but thought you might be able to tolerate the deviation. How much might we sell this for?
imschur
Actually I am not familiar with that brand at all, sorry. Tal might know more.
Tal
After doing some searching Tomas Borboria is a custom Luthier. Like many other custom guys, they make everything from "Player" type guitars, to the ultra high end stuff. Can't find specific pricing on the TC14 model, that is on the label of your pics. But from what I gather his low end stuff starts out at about $1750 and goes up from there to several $1000's. (Around 7 to 10K.)I'd contact him directly if. He's the builder and can probably give you a better idea on the TC14 model. Here's his Facebookhttp://www.facebook.com/BorobiaGuitarsHere's his web site.http://www.latticeguitar.com/index.htmlThis may take the right buyer, (Guitar Geeks like me..)...But they're out there..If I didn't already own a Ramirez R4 Classical, I might think about it.Let me know if you need anything else. Microgunner
Thanks Tal.All I've been able to find out is they're hand made to order one at a time, about 15 per year, there's a waiting list and the only price I could find is $4750.00 new, but I'm not sure about this model. Tal
Thanks Tal.All I've been able to find out is they're hand made to order one at a time, about 15 per year, there's a waiting list and the only price I could find is $4750.00 new, but I'm not sure about this model.I hear ya..I've got a custom made Jim Triggs, and the prices are all over the place. When you get into the custom luthier stuff, your market will definitely be the geeks like me. Definitely easier to move a Gibson or a major brand, but the market is there for custom Luthiers.I'm still waiting to hit the lottery, so I can call Bob Benedetto and order a Manhattan model for $20K. ;DBut that's the thing. Bob's stuff starts at about 3K and on up to the Manhattan model. Do your homework, and you should be way ahead of the game. I'd probably go Ebay rather than Craig's list, with a high end guitar like that. You will get more exposure..

asmurff
Don't know a thing about guitars, but the wood is beautiful!
Microgunner
Tomas Borobia answered my e-mail today. He says he remembers this guitar. It was custom ordered for $4750.00 and includes upgrade Sloane tuners and a scale length of 640mm instead of the standard 650mm.He says it could sell for as much as $5k to a few players in the country if you could pair them up, but for an instant sell, $1900.We'll try for something in between.Mr. Borobia was a very nice and polite person to communicate with and I thanked him for his prompt response. Tal
Most of those Luthier guys, are the nicest people in the world, and I'm glad he contacted you. Just think of the hours, time and materials to make a guitar completely by hand, and to do it well enough, that world renown players want that guitar. Glad to hear you got some numbers to work with. Now Drew...Doesn't have a classical guitar. He's the one who needs one to add to the herd.. ;D
