Darkstar
OK I've been trying for like 5 hours to get this front sight off but still no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. here's what I've tried.1 rem oil2 soldering iron3 direct flame from candle4 break parts cleaner5 freezing with propane6 paint thinnertomorrow I'm going to try a blow torch, and if that doesn't work. rodent.22
On the parts diagram the sight looks to be secured by a screw installed from the left side of the sight. Remove the screw and tap the sight off the rail (GENTLY).... :grin:Don't use a torch!

Darkstar
I know there's a screw on the front sight. But they've put some industrial strength Loctite on the threads. I;m thinking a blow torch on low would be enough to melt that loctite and allow the screw to come out.
