Avalon Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 I've got the chance to to acquire a Muzzlelite Bullpup stock for my 10/22. Can anyone tell me if they haveany experiecne of Bullpup stocks? How do you fit a scope to it?
Microgunner Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 I have and still own only one bullpup rifle, a FN FS2000 in 5.56mm.The only advantage I can see to the bullpup is OAL.Everything else is a deficit.Balance is off.Trigger is poor.Ejection can be a problem with most bullpups. So, if OAL is not really, really important to you then I'd say you're degrading your rifle's performance by going bullpup.
Avalon Posted August 23, 2012 Author Report Posted August 23, 2012 Good point. When I was in the British Army and later the RAF reserves I used the SA80 and was pretty impressed with it but now I'm thinking of gutting my Butler Creek Ruger to make it a Bullpup inside a bullpup stock.
Longitude Zero Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Now if yu had fired a Stey AUG I bet your feelings on bullpups would probably be different. The AUG is my favorite rifle to fire. Sadly they are now too expensive for me to even think about owning one. Oh well I will just keep shooting my uncles.
