Now, I'm obsessed with this!I have 2 things I'd like to explore:1: What can I do / what would you suggest I do with the 597 to make it more accurate to 100yards?2: I'm shopping for another rifle, and most likely it will be a bolt action so I can run sub sonic rounds through it (CCI CB's won't cycle in the 597). I only shoot them from a bolt action rifle.I don't think you can go wrong with any Savage rifle.As for making the 597 more accurate I can't help, but there are others here who know about that sort of thing. Microgunner Posted December 13, 2012 Report Share Posted December 13, 2012 The Remington 552 Speedmaster will cycle sub-sonics.It's built to reliably cycle 22 short, 22 long and 22 long rifle interchangably so sub-sonics are not a problem for it.I believe there are others as well.
