asmurff Posted August 23, 2014 Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 I've shot up a fair bit of .45acp recently having got the XDS and a Hi-Point carbine it that caliber recently. While cleaning and prepping the brass I ran into Federal brass with small pistol primer pockets instead of the usual large pistol. A bit of research quickly showed I wasn't a screw up but lot but a change in some of the Federal 45brass. The brass on the left is large pistol and on the right is small pistol notice the headstamp difference. I guess Fiocchi is doing it also. I have read stories of folk with progressive presses that had a primer light off when they unknowingly tried to compress a large primer into one of those with small pockets. Boom.
