The course of fire will include compulsory magazine chenges, shooting from barricades, tyre stacks and targets will include knockdown plates - more on the course of fire to follow shortly. Microgunner Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 You say tactical competition. Is that with semi-auto centerfires?
Dangermouse Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 Oh Lordy, no.I wish it was but we lost those many years back due to Michael Ryan going walk about with an AK 47 in Hungerford. This competition will be for Semi auto rim fire and is as a direct result of the new owners of all the new Tactical .22's wanting something to do with them.It is hoped that these competitions will catch on big style, there is no reason why they could not be combined with Shotgun and maybe even Rifle.
Microgunner Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 The little rimfires are a ton of fun anyway. Looks like you're in for a load of giggles in Diggle. Pardon the pun, couldn't resist.
Microgunner Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 I wish it was but we lost those many years back due to Michael Ryan going walk about with an AK 47 in Hungerford.I just Googled Micheal Ryan to refresh my memory. It's horrible when a person comes that unhinged.
Dangermouse Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 The country was a very different place in those days. Unfortunately as these events become more common, it is recognised that he displayed many symptoms common to these active shooters. I read a book on it many years back but can not for the life of me remember the name.
techmike Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 How did we ever come to the point of punishing people that did not commit a crime, as a response to a crime? How did the shoot in Diggle go?TM
Dangermouse Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 Unfortunately, despite a good turn out, the guys could not persuade the fog to leave the range and they gave up after midday.Much talk re next competition but no dates as of yet.Guess mother nature ain't a .22 Tactical shooter,DM
