Got a chance to pick up four hundred or so rounds of rat shot 22lr for 60$. I assume no one has any luck of it cycling in semi autos

It will not cycle any auto loaders that I've ever heard of.

I've shot a few rats with it from a 4" revolver and the rats just scurried away.

I think it needs a rifle length barrel to be of any use.

I have a box of  that I bought long ago - shot a crow with it at close range from a bolt action rifle. The crow caw'd & flew away.

I've tried a few handgun caliber shot shells called snake loads and wouldn't want to bet on them in a pinch. Pissed of rattlesnakes are not fun.
