imschur Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 This looks like fun. Anyone know the laws pertaining to AR-15 pistol uppers? Do you need a specific lower to make it a pistol rather than an SBR?

Microgunner Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Yep, the lower receiver has to start life as a pistol and you'll need documentation to prove this in case someone tries to charge you with possession of a SBR.

The pistol discussion is interesting as well as I am finishing the build of a pistol using a Spikes 5.5 inch upper, On a Virgin Oly Lower signed out as a handgun.
