Madhouse
I'm a martial arts instructor here in Houston. My chief instructor is a true gun enthusiast, in his 60's. He showed me this 10-22 he had and told me the story behind it. It had been his friend's, who showed it to him in rough shape, so he took it and refinished the stock and cleaned the action up. When he went to return it, his friend said it was too pretty now, so let my instructor keep it. Earlier this year he told me he couldn't think of anymore who would appreciate the rifle any more than me, so he gave it to me. I looked up the serial number and the rifle is roughly as old as I am (40 years). This thing is so cool to shoot, I picked up a couple of Ruger factory 10-round mags from MidwayUSA and got a Butler Creek hi-cap mag. I've had it out many times, and now have a BSA Sweet 22 scope on it. ;D
imschur
10-22's are fantastic rifles. Imo about the best bang for the buck .22 rifles ever. Im trying to get a buddy to customize the heck out of one. If he doesnt I will in 2010 after my AR builds ar done.
rodent.22
I have a 10/22 carbine I shortened to 16'' and threaded the barrel for an A2 suppressor. An ATI stock and a Butler Creek 25 round clip with a BSA red dot scope and it's a LOT of fun....
