Microgunner Posted August 30, 2009 Report Share Posted August 30, 2009 I own (2) dedicated .22lr 1911's. Both are built on centerfire frames so I assume they could be converted back to centerfire. The Colt Ace is all blued steel and is stunningly beautiful, but sadly, only moderately accurate. I blame the floating chamber for this. The Kimber Rimfire Target is all aluminum with a much simpler finish and is wonderfully accurate. Both accept the same magazines. If the Ace would shoot like the Kimber, life would be complete.
