we have very few range, almost all are private. Theres one public range and its insane. The other range that has rifle as well is pricey per hour

The place where I bought my Kimber has an indoor range, its small but pretty nice. They are offering a special to become a member. Im trying to decide if its a good deal or not. What do you guys think?

So my main reason for getting this pistol was to utilize my Wilson Combat .22lr conversion. This Kimber is so nicely fitted and tight that i now dont want to run the .22 Kit on it. I think theres only one solution. I need another 1911

Thursday we had a big startup of a piece of hardware. It went pretty well but the day was exhausting none the less. I get home from work tired, cranky and hungry around 6:30pm. Im greeted in the driveway by a friend/neighbor in the building next door. he says "I hate to tell you this but you have a big problem" Naturally my first thought goes to either my animals. Fortunately that was not it. However he informs me that a girl in my building went down to the basement and found about an inch and a half of water and a hot water heater spraying straight up in the air out of the chimney. He shut the water off. I spend about 5 hours sucking up water with the shop vac. All kinds of expensive wood ruined, old comics, personal photos, yearbook all wet. Im sick over that. I managed to slice my trigger finger wide open with a carpet cutter razor blade removing insulation from the heater. Next day I go to work just long enough to make sure yesterdays machine upgrade is working well and trouble shoot another machine that went up in a flash and puff of smoke. I leave around 11:30am and heat to home depot. I drop $400 on a new heater and some fittings. I get home and schlep the old heater out of the basement. As I get near the top step the heater slips and starts to slide down the stairs. I catch it and hurt my back. Of course in hindsight I should have let it just go... My neighbor comes home and helps me get the new unit in the house. The new unit is 40 gallons not 30 as was the old...Doh No big deal though. I start plumbing the thing up. The new tank has 3/4" male nipples exiting the top. The old tank was 3/4" female. Crap now I need different fittings. I head off to the local hardware store. The fittings are $3.50 a piece...ouch....crap I forgot my wallet. I go out to the truck and scrape up $5 in quarters...crap not enough. I head home and go to Lowes and get the right fittings at half the price. I plumb everything up. The new unit has a sealed chamber, no more lighting with a match. It has a piezo like a grill where you push the button. Crap it wont light...... Finally I got it lit. Now back to cleaning the rest of the mess

ok I wrote a big long winded post about these boots and it bombed on the file attachment and I lost everything. :-[ So here's the abbreviated version. These are the best boots I have ever used. Try a pair and thank me later. Theres a composite toe if you need that at work

I often speculated to myself this was so the weapons could not be confused with the real deal for some reason  The first M16 .22 conversions used modified M16 mags..that was cool. Look what Ciener did to that :o

Beretta U.S.A. Corp. has discovered a potential condition with Beretta .22 caliber NEOS semiautomatic pistols in which the pistol will fire even if the safety is activated and, in some cases, the pistols may fire if the safety is moved from the OFF to the ON position. Chances of either of these situations occurring is extremely remote and no injuries have occurred because of this condition, however, because of safety concerns relating to this situation, Beretta U.S.A. Corp. is immediately implementing a recall of Beretta .22 caliber NEOS semiautomatic pistols. If you have a Beretta NEOS pistol, please send it to our Accokeek Maryland Service Center for repair. Instructions on how to send your Neos to Beretta is available at www.berettasupport.com/neos or by calling 1-800-BERETTA. Note: Some pistols are not subject to recall. Please visit www.berettasupport.com/neos to see if your NEOS has already been repaired. Your pistol will be retrofitted, at no cost to you, with a replacement firing pin assembly. The new firing pin assembly can be identified either by a circle on the back of the firing pin that includes a red dot in the center, or by a vertical line (either version is suitable for your continued use) as seen in these illustrations: Please make sure that your Beretta NEOS pistol is unloaded before delivery to the service center. Do not experiment with your Neos pistol to see if it has the potential safety issue. Some NEOS pistols have already been repaired. If the firing pin for your NEOS looks like Version 1 or 2 above, you do not need to return it for retrofit. Please visit berettasupport.com/neos to see if your NEOS has already been repaired.

Has anyone used one of these yet? I saw some initial complaints of the reticles not being centered but I also see a lot of reviews that are positive. Im thinking of getting one for the .22 upper.

Man it was a tough trip. I really liked the Bushmaster ACR, its very comfy. The Socom's were less appealing this outing. There was a S&W 1911 I liked except for the "DK" on the slide. There was a Les Baer that was machined nice, had all the right stuff except the finish was terrible for a $400 get let alone a $2000. Eventually I drilled it down to two Kimbers. There was a custom shop model that was exactly what I wanted for $2000 and a Tactical LE II for $1199. In the end I chose the Tactical as It was much different than anything I own and i figured I could spend the difference finishing these to projects I have going on here. There was several runners up but they lacked the correct checkering or any checkering at all. The store had some really cool 10/22's with anodized railed recievers, bull barrels and thumbhole stocks for $700. Bulk federal was $12!!! I noticed S&W has changed the model 41's a bit. lastly as I was leaving I noticed a stack of 32 H&R ammo. The lines were too long and I was too tired. i guess Ill have to go back ;D
