I have a Nikon 2x20 Force XR EER Handgun Scopeon order for my model 41 and an Olympic Arms Preban Lower coming for one of my pistol caliber AR's. Wolff springs for the Model 41
I noticed today that Brownells has began offering EXO coated .22 caliber AR15/M4 barrels and carriers. This is a nice option. The EXO coating should make for easy cleaning of the carrier
Unfortunately the 10/22 trigger is a pretty substantial upgrade as it contains the entire assembly plus an extended mag release. Worth every penny though. If you are mechanically inclined you can install some POWER CUSTOM or Volquartsen aftermarket parts for about half the cost of the Timney
I have spent a lot of time with a Bushmaster Carbon 15. It's a good rifle. Feels odd at first and I can see purists being turned off. Not sure how they would hold up in the battlefield. While composites can be made to equal or out perform their metalic counterparts the cost would exceed the aluminium. I think in the hands of a casual shooter it would last a life time. That said under a normal supply and demand circumstances you should be able the find a traditional receiver set on sale (Palmetto State Armory) for only slightly more
The threads on the barrel are too long which would allow over tightening and messing up the threads of the suppressor and maybe the barrel. The suppressor needs to tighten to a shoulder which would normally be the diameter of the barrel where the threads end.
ok this is a known issue and Silencerco already makes the correct spacer for $10 .5X28 Rifle Thread Spacer Many gun companies and gunsmiths make a common mistake and thread .22 lr barrels at AR15 thread lengths. Most .22 silencers on the market will not shoulder correctly on AR15 thread length. This spacer shortens AR15 thread length to .22 lr thread length while ensuring concentricity.
