  1. Welcome aboard Rudy!!
  2. It might be good for someone who cannot turn their wrists far enough to get a full grip of the foreend, and doesn't want a full vertical grip...??
  3. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California has now identified with certainty the heaviest element known to science. The new element, Pelosium (PL), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Pelosium is inert, and has no charge and no magnetism. Nevertheless, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Pelosium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete. Pelosium has a normal half-life of 2 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a biennial reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. Pelosium mass will increase over time, since each reorganization will promote many morons to become isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass. When catalyzed with money, Pelosium becomes Senatorium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Pelosium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.
  4. We do sir. What is scary is the policies of the people trying to take the U.S on the same course as the U.K. I feel bad for you guys over there.
  5. no doubt - Tiger was a bigger news story than the guy who flew his plane into the IRS building, the day after he did it!
  6. That's a great question. It was backwards for me. I've been into ARs for a while, so grabbing this .22lr S&W was a no-brainer.
  7. Wow, wtf?!?
  8. Man, that's cool! I bet she'll enjoy it!
  9. Man, that's a bummer!!
  10. I've been in martial arts since I was 15 (scary how long ago that was). I got my start in Okinawan Kempo, did a bunch of tournament fighting throughout New England for a few years. After moving to Texas from Maine I found my current school, been there 12 years, been an instructor for the past 10 years. I don't do too much of the point fighting too much anymore, mostly now I concentrate on realistic self-defense, weapon fighting and weapon disarming, etc. We primarily train civilians, but have had a few HCSO deputies and HPD officers come through.
  11. Welcome aboard!
  12. welcome aboard!
  13. Excellent video. It's important to try to remove the negative spin on AR-format rifles.
  14. Welcome aboard! Wish I had been given those rifles as an 11-year-old.
  15. Neither I nor my wife cook, which sucks, we eat junk all the time.
  16. My wife and I had run to the store and when we were turning back into our subdivision entrance I noticed a truck that had a flat and rolled onto our street to get off the main road. I dropped my wife off and went back to see how he was managing, turned out to be not too well. He was trying to figure out how to use the little scissor jack that comes with his truck. He didn't know how it worked, didn't know how to get the spare down from te underside of the truck, he would've been there all night. So, I went back and grabbed my aluminum racing jack and cordless impact wrench. I jacked the truck up and pulled off his flat while he tried to work the spare. We get it out and the damn tire is spent! I can't believe someone put that tire on there as a spare, it had wires showing through, and it was flat too, unreal. But the flat was completely ripped through the sidewall so it was our only option. We put it on and I told him to limp it over to my house so I could fill it with my compresor. The tire actually held air, so I told him to go directly to the tire store and get at least 2 new tires. So, there's my karma work for the month. :thumb:
  17. I think it's great to make you guys mods! We're over a hundred members now, although only twenty or so are regular posters, but the forum is growing!
  18. Nice selection on the camera! And man, that camera control sounds sweet! I've been working with a Konika/Minolta D'Image A2 for a few years now, and would love to move to a DSLR. Let's see some fancy shots!!! :thumb:
  19. Welcome fellow Texan!! Houston here.
  20. Very good stuff. My wife gave me a pair of the Blackhawk Warrior Wear Tanto light hikers for Christmas this year. Very comfortable, very tough.
