Welcome aboard Michael! If I might throw another option out there for you to ponder, check out the Sig 522. I have one, and I have a S&W M&P 15-22, and I think I would take the Sig out varmint hunting given the choice.
I never like to hear that they make changes, because they never make changes in the right direction. This one doesn't seem to have very much bite to it though.
Well, the GSG isn't the new kid on the block anymore, that might be part of it. And the newer Colt, Smith, Sig, etc. have so many of the typical tacticool accessories...
It does, in a way. That base is a new product that's going to be ready to ship next month. The kit was $61 if you wanted the base too, and they'll pick up the shipping of the base when it's ready - that was the deal at the show anyway. Looked nice though, he had one there, cut from aluminum, black anodized with end caps. The one on the website was one he made for himself, but not what the new ones will be made like. :thumb:
Man, I hear ya. I went to the show this morning with cash in hand and looked at thousandsof guns, couldn't find a single one that really called to me... :o
Excellent music choice in the video. Love the ending comment, "Another MagPul stock gets its wings clipped in Massachusetts!" Stupid, stupid, senseless laws....
So I didn't get much at the gun show this morning, aside from my obligatory jerky purchase and a short soft-side case for the Sig 522, but I did find this litte gem: http://www.railvise.com/ Since I don't have a bench vise, and don't need a vise for anything other than gunsmithing, this seemed like an excellent tool.
Has anybody done rail-mounted video? If so, what equipment? I've been doing a little research (googling) and really can only find what looks to be one good option. http://www.advancedtaccam.com/
