Spent yesterday afternoon and this morning getting a good solid base of a light tan on the God aweful green camo case. I have a darker tan, brown, afrika mustard, and black to make it a desert camo job I hope. We'll see if my hands can duplicae what my brain sees. Rodent I know you've painted some rifle stocks, do you put a clear coat over them after the camo work?

Nope I have any aversion to green after 21 years in Air Force fatigues and BDU. Besides there is very little green in NM.

Excellent write-up, I've looked at these but yours is the first I've seen with the 25 round mag and it definitely enhances the appearance. Someday I want my wife to shoot tactical rimfire matches with our group, I think this would be a good gun for her.

For plinking until I figure out how to use it well. Our gun club as an archery area with know distances and walking target trail. Plus they host 3d shoots. For fun more than anything else.

I have a Mossberg 500 which is at home is configured as a home defense gun with the 18.5" barrel. I also have a 28" vented rib barrel for clays and 24 inch rifled barrel for sabot style slugs. You can usually get several combo set-up such as; 18.5" defense & 28" field, 28" field & 24" slug, the also have combos with a shotgun barrel and a 50 cal muzzle loader barrel.

I received my Gensis bow Thursday and it seems like it will give me what I wanted from one. The case it came with however looks like a bad tie-dye job from the 70s done by an acid dropper. The case has a date today with base coat of Rust-oleum for plastic to start its transformation to a more desert friendly camo.
