  1. Bench is coming along nicely. I think I'm going to liquid nail the plywood to the shelf frames. Tomorrw I'll do that and start covering the back and sides.
  2. After putting the frame together I've decided to add a center shelf, there is room to get all the things on the bench after getting it to the point I could make more precise measurements.
  3. I wish I'd done my Spike's in all desert furniture, but am not going to spend the money now to go back and change it. Maybe I'll have to get another and ....
  4. Spike's Tactical ST-15 with forehand grip and light.
  5. I already wear a wrist brace when I go shoot my 1911s, for that I may need a cast ;D
  6. 200 once fired AA shotshells.
  7. Me too :thumb:
  8. Look for it!
  9. The first items to go in any tool box. Duct tape; if it moves and it shouldn't duct tape it. WD-40; if it should move and doesn't spray it with WD-40. Hammer; if the first 2 items don't work, smash it with the hammer and toss it.
  10. Tomorrow I hope to start on my new reloading bench. With 2 progressive reloaders, a shotshell reloader, and RCBS case prep tools I've run out of working and storage space. I bought the bench legs from "2x4 Basics" the top will be 4'l x 3'w 3'h, with two 16" x 4' shelves above the top and a 4' x 3' shelf below. http://2x4basics.com/ look under Garage and Storage. The area behind the top shelves will be enclosed with peg board, and the area below the table I'll enclose with 1/4" plywood.
  11. We learn as we go, I've had my share and more of goofs and wtf's.

    Case Prep

I have a RCBS case trimmer and just ordered the attachment to power it with my drill.

    Case Prep

I do full length resize before trimming. I found an article at Box of Truth on resizing which says the same. I'll get busy reloading after I get rid of this cold/upper repiratory crud and can concentrate.
  17. http://m249.us/home.php prepare for sticker shock 1099.00 plus the cost of a 10/22. As cool as it is, if I had the spare money I'd have to spend it on something more practical.

    Case Prep

I'm just getting into reloading .223, until now I've only reloaded pistol calibers. When trimming cases as long as the length is between the "maximum length" and the "trim length" I do not need to trim if I'm not after match grade accuracy. Is this true or am I making a false assumption.
  19. They give you a reason they wouldn't just sell you a receiver. At a guess it was something a lawyer would say ::)
  20. Glad you joined us.
  21. At first though I'd have to say no, I don't think you can get a receiver with a requested serial number. I would imagine you could get just a receiver from Ruger and have them ship it to your local ffl. Give Ruger customer service a call, they are very friendly folk and see what they can do for you (603) 865-2442.
