Welcome to the group!

Must have been jealousy >:D

My mother greatly dislikes guns without a legimate reason. She knows better than to lecture me about them, but would never allow me to bring one into her house. Hey her house still her rules, I can live with it, besides my parents live in New Jersey.

I rarely use them except for hunting and maybe to break-in a new semi-auto .22.

Welcome.

I may need to eat again come Sunday or Monday ???

Put on the loose sweat pants and bring on the food. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Sounds like a plan

Back in the 70s I had a Winchester Model 9422M. It was so much fun to shoot I could easily put as many rounds through it in a trip to the ranges as I do now with my 10/22 and 25 round magazines. I have a feeling the Henry speed loaders will facilitate this enjoyment. What someone here calls the smile factor.

It looks like it would be fun in the .22. I don't think I'd want to add another caliber to my reloading so the .45colt is out.

I think this Henry .22 Mares Leg qualifies as a tactical .22. http://henryrepeating.com/rifle-mares-leg.cfm

If I was going to a bar I wouldn't even take one with me, since 1 drink and the gun will cost you your permit in NM. It has been over 2 years since I went to a bar to drink, it was in the hotel I was staying at. NM is still working on the restaurant carry thing. If they serve only beer and wine it is okay, I only know of one place it applies. I believe if you're going out to eat and don't drink alcohol you should be able to carry. If we do I lock up my pistol in the lock boxes in whichever vehicle we take, then reholster when we leave. Finding and learning the laws per state is difficult. If you look at the NM website it won't give all the where and where not. -
I know the gun shop I use hasn't had any PMR 30s because they have a want list with 20something names on it.

I see a Big City Pawn in Houston TX on face book.

I've fired one once in .44 mag much to hot for me to handle. I recently read an article on derringers it was in the October issue of American Handgunner.

I assume shooting the neighbors is out of the question ???

I think it is okay. I have a exact replica of the 1911 I carry conceal which is propane operated with the soft pellets which I use in the garage. It is powerful enough to operate the slide on the pistol with authority and damaged the inner covering of my insulated garage door if I miss. I've spent a lot of time and effort to insure I was accurate with a pistol since I got a conceal carry license, but I have neglected my rifle practice. Luclily my gun shops carries a good assortment of air/propane powered guns. I may just have to get one.

What are the main reason for a suppressed .22. Since I shoot on a range all the time I'm can't figure out why I'd need one other than maybe the coolness factor. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against thembut haven't come up with a compelling reason to spend the money or give the info to the feds for the tax stamp. I can understand if you are able to shoot on your own property and don't want to irritate the neighbors. Sadly I can't, city ordinance. Hunting for small game so as not to spook other critters? Indoor shooting to save on the ear drums?

Well I did break the cycle of non-shooting today. I got to the range and put 300 rounds through my 10-22 at 50 yds off hand, boy did I suck in getting into the zone I was after only about 80%, if it had be a human it would have been 100%. Since my 10/22 is set up very similar to my Spikes Tactical ST-15 I'm not down on my results. I do need to start doing more dry fire practice with my rifles instead of just pistols.

Time to start getting after the Senators weekly, if it passes by a big enough margin there maybe Obozo won't veto it. Personally I believe we'll have to wait till we get a real president not a Soros puppet to get this as a law. I think you'd still have to abide by mag cap laws and where you can carry by state, which is how it is with the current recipricol agreements between states now. -
