  1. There is a new (to me) player on the field. Bullets.com - I just got my new Grizzly Tool catalog, and included was a supplement for Bullets.com apparently a new division of Grizzly. They have Norma .22lr ammo in stock (as I post this) at prices that are reasonable for the times. Grizzly has a 5-star reputation for those unfamiliar with the company. They make and sell large power tools, and the owner is a musician, he has a line of guitar kits for sale - check it out!
  2. Wow - $50 a box? :o Guess I am spoiled, have a bunch of lead bullets and starline brass. Actually don't think I have ever bought 45lc ammo.
  3. Wait for it...... ;D
  4. I quit buying from them long ago, when they started charging me multiple shipping fees on a single order, because they had multiple warehouses. I do not even look at their catalogs anymore. Those prices from that company do not surprise me.

    Fun Target

Shoot them all, let God sort them out....... :auto:
  6. This is not really a funny topic, because it is SO scary that product warnings for stupid people now seem to be the norm. These are warnings that are in addition to the operating instructions. (I know, the stupid people don't/won't/can't read them either) My old all time favorite was a clothes iron: "Do not iron clothes while wearing them". Just bought a Sunbeam Panini Grill. I am supposed to unplug the grill before storing. Who knew? So what is your favorite warning for stupid people? There are lots of them in your firearm's manuals..... This touches on a personal rant/pet peeve - I believe the United States is actively breeding for stupidity by protecting stupid people. They used to be culled out of the breeding population, now they have uber-protected status and are multiplying out of control - like rabbits in Australia.
  7. Like it!
  8. Yeah, know what ya mean. Now they close schools here on the basis of forecasts- "There might be some snow tomorrow, so we better close." Looks like the worst may be over here, temps are not 15 below anymore. But.... Warm temps and rain this Saturday, so now flooding is predicted.

    ammo shortage

Back in the day, my .22 rifle was a Sears bolt action with a 7 round detachable magazine. a 50 round box of long rifles (.25 to .30 per box) would last me several days. Now I have a Colt semi-auto with 30 round mags.
  16. Supposed to be 1 inch of snow an hour, 25 to 50 mph winds, and bitter cold. What's not to love about the Great Lakes? :o

    Help Me!

Escape is the only option. A trip anywhere. :o
  18. Ahh, found it. *Open Firefox *Navigate to tac22 *Click Tools *Hover over Adblock Plus(must be installed first) *Click on Disable on tactical22.net Now you can enjoy ad-free browsing, yet allow Drew's gun stuff ads (Brownels, ect) to display properly!
  19. I do not do FB, but it works great on LameBook! That was full of ads B4. :thumb:
  20. Awwww. :thumb:
  21. I figured there had to be a downside.
  22. I ran across this looking for something to block or disable the ads that are so prevalent on the web these days. Try explaining to the Sweetie why there are ads on my home page for meeting 50 year old women, and Russian Brides...... Jeez. This add-on for Firefox, Adblock Plus, is free, and really works. It gets the Google ads off my home page, and even the Yahoo ads off Yahoo Mail. All of my web pages load significantly faster.
  23. Pictures man, we require pictures!!!!
  24. Happy New Year back at ya Dougie! Stay safe out there!!!
  25. I started loading 5.56 over a year ago, had problems with my scale & got distracted with the whole electronic scale thing, then the great run started - couldn't find components, so I do not have a lot of data, except as follows: *I was not impressed with Varget as a powder for my AR rifles. I could not get decent groups at 100 yards, with either 55 or 62 grain fmj projectiles, 1in7 or 1in9 barrels - from starting to max charge. *A buddy and I split 1K box of commercial reloads, 62 gn projectiles, once fired Lake City brass, and those work great in both my carbine & rifle. *The reloads were made using H-335 powder, which has been on B/O for quite a while, but I did just get an 8# jug of it, so I hope to work some rounds up soon - making .380 on my pistol press right now. *I also have 1K tracer projectiles to try. They are 62 gn, but way longer than standard fmj, and the only recipe I can find for them is also H-335. TM
