    Air Soft

Well, I got my TSD SD96 from Airsoft Atlanta. Impressive, while the stock is plastic, the rest is metal, with very good fit & finish. It is fun to shoot, and so far one bushy tailed rodent was observed limping as it left the yard. Very good customer service from Airsoft Atlanta, ordered on Sunday, arrived on Wednesday, no hassles, everything worked. :thumb:
  3. At least this guy thinks so..... READ IT HERE
  4. http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/30-GoldenBall-BIO-2500-p/65532.htm BB's are all I have ever known to call them, guess that is what they are.
  5. It arrived today, quite a bit of very quiet fun! I will have to get some of the bio-degradable bbs though....
  6. Excellent. :thumb:
  7. Hopefully without the neighbors calling in a swat team...... :P
  8. Just ordered one of THESE. I have declared war upon the backyard squirrels......
  9. Think I'm gonna do it this year, there is one close to home, and during my vacation. It's only $60 plus camping fees.......
  10. Thinking bait.
  11. Nice Doug! I used to fish for carp as a kid, about all that was in the river in those days. But I also used to fish for them in Folsom Lake near Sacramento. Biggest one I caught was near 40 lbs. Caught it using beef heart as bait. Out there, it is catch & kill as they tend to wipe out desirable fish.
  12. Greetings from Ohio, and welcome!
  13. Now this is different..... Dragon spits lead
  14. Sounds great. In northern Ohio, every warm day has been rainy. Last time I went shooting, had to brush snow off the benches.
  15. Welcome to Tac22! I believe your gun store is correct, that should not be a problem to swap in a quad rail. I have the M4 Ops variant, and that comes with a free float rail. Let's see some pics as you mod it.
  16. Sounds like good customer service, hope all the issues are resolved!
  17. Oh, I like that one!
  18. Smurff, Thanks for Posting. A pox on all of them.
  19. Groan. ;D
  20. Anytime buddy, let us know how it goes. TM
  21. -1 on the Rem oil, not fond of it my own self. I have to admit, I am fond of Hoppes #9. (old school gun stuff) It's an ok cleaner and I like the smell. ;D Break Free CLP is also good stuff and is a cleaner & lubricant. I also use Brian Enos's Far Superior Slide Glide. It is a grease that pretty much stays put. I know there are many new hi-tech lubes out there, perhaps some of the other guys will chime in.
  22. One thing that almost always gets overlooked when this issue happens is the magazine. If you have only one mag, I would suggest getting another one before you start swapping out parts. At least inspect the lips, and clean it. If you have more than one, label them with numbers so that if one mag becomes a problem, you can identify which one it is. And if possible, try to stick with one brand/flavor of ammo while you track down the problem.
  23. Won't. Will save those for emergency use only in bolt guns! :thumb:
  24. Mine was also from 2009, and it has been issue free except I had the recoil spring set too tight (initially) and ruined the spring. Once the rifle was broken in, and I tried several flavors of ammo it has been a great shooter. I stay away from Thunderbolts, Golden Bullets, ect. Those are for my bolt action rifles. I have a lot of different 22 ammo, and after testing I just shoot what worked the best. As with all 22 semi autos, cleanliness = better performance. The primer material in all 22 ammo contains ground glass, and that is what gives a 22 action that gritty feeling after just a few rounds fired. They do not need much oil, over-lubrication can cause problems, as the extra lube acts like a dirt magnet and sucks in grime from the nearest 3 zip codes. Once that stuff has a chance to dry out, it petrifies into a material that is just shy of a diamond on the hardness scale. W.Wheel has posted that he uses automotive brake cleaner on these rifles, and I have found that to be an excellent power cleaner for 22lr gunk. (Good advice WW!) And it is cheaper than "gun cleaner" sprays. As with all such chemicals, take care with plastics, painted materials and of course optics. TM
