Big changes heading our way - the site will be getting a heavy-duty make-over, and will be utilizing new software. All data will remain and nothing will be lost. I do not have a time frame yet, but get ready. :thumb:

That is pretty cool Smurf! I guess I expected it to be a bit more blue-ish in color.

M4 colt carbine high cap. Magazine drum style
techmike replied to jluhm's topic in Colt Umarex General
An AR15 dust cover is very similar, but the latch is different from the Colt/Umarex. The dust cover on my Colt has always worked just fine. -

When I get home from work tonight, I will see if an AR dust cover is the same as the Colt's. I'll get back to ya. -

What is wrong with your dust cover? -
Howdy and welcome!

Just got the slide back, great work! They drilled out the front sight for the tritium vial, and made a new custom rear sight. Now I have 8 months to wait for the paddle holster I ordered. Also have a DeSantis scabbard on order that should ship in 20 days.

Well, at least it will be fixed. And you will have some great paychecks for awhile - you can afford to get some .22lr ammo....

Yes, Colibri is powderless ammo. Has a 20gn bullet, in a bolt action rifle it is near-silent. (It will not cycle any semi-auto, and I would not try it in a semi-auto) But otherwise it is a blast. Much quieter than an air rifle. Louder in a pistol.

That is too bad. But better than ending up at the bottom of a canyon.

I do not know. After I do work on a fire arm, I single load it to test fire and safety check it. After that I load two rounds. In this case I loaded two rounds again, then took it home.

Air Soft rail install on Colt M4
techmike replied to techmike's topic in Colt Umarex Mods and Upgrades
Ya know, if that was mine I would find a good aluminum welder/fabricator. It would not be a big deal to mill off the rest of the broken part, weld on a small aluminum block and drill out the pin hole. Then you would be back in business. -
^ Yup, what he said!! :thumb:

I have a box of that I bought long ago - shot a crow with it at close range from a bolt action rifle. The crow caw'd & flew away.

Another M4 Handguard Thread ... OMG
techmike replied to krystofer66's topic in Colt Umarex Mods and Upgrades
Yep, remove the front sights, I used JB Quick Weld to fill the nasty holes in my barrel shroud, and get a standard barrel nut, or whatever your hand guard requires. Edited to add - an AR armorer's tool, or barrel nut wrench to tighten the new nut. -
Very nice!!!

Have to admit, I was confused my own self. * If you have a Colt M4 .22 that has a Delta Ring, you can put any 2-piece mil-spec hand guard on your rifle that is the correct length. * If you want to replace the existing free-float hand guard on the Ops model, you will have to change the OEM barrel nut with a standard AR15 barrel nut. * I had an airsoft hand guard on my Ops model that came with it's own barrel nut - that was because that specific hand guard, a Troy TRX, uses a different nut - because the external part of the nut is different. * The thread size of the Colt .22 M4 is 1-3/16"-16 - same as an AR15. Attached pics, nut on the right is the Colt OEM, one on the left is a standard AR15 nut. Also a pic showing the Colt with the nut removed. Hope this helps! TM Edited to add, there is an 11" free float rail available in the For Sale thread! -
Hey Smurf, I have one in .22mag, fun shooter! I bought it used, came with a bunch of ammo & a holster for $150. The frame is aluminum, all else appears to be steel. Mine has a safety, (never seen one on a revolver before), and it stops the hammer from touching the firing pin. It does not lock the trigger or cylinder. MG said it well, the finish appears to be a bit fragile. It is very accurate, and for me it is a keeper. I want to get the .22lr cylinder for it, and try some Colibri ammo.
