I have a Sig P238, nice mini 1911, except no grip safety. It is one of my favorite pistols - great shooter. Another one to consider is the Llama .380. I have had 3 Llamas, all 1911 style pistols in 9mm, all worked great. I keep seeing the .380 Llamas on Gun Broker, and drool a bit.
My garden tractor lives in a shed, and this time of year the battery tends to get flat, because I do not use it as often & cold temps. I just picked up a 1.5 watt solar battery charger at Harbor Freight, mounted on the side of the shed and wires run through the wall & clipped to the battery leads. The instructions specify a charge regulator be used for charging a battery. I have read that with such a low wattage that is not needed - thoughts?
CMR = Close to Medium Range. I have two of these excellent scopes for sale. They were mounted on an AR, and a .22lr AR respectively. Other than wear marks from normal mounting and use, they are in great shape, both are in original boxes with papers and flip up lens covers, they are 30mm tubes. Glass is very clear and bright. Reason for selling: I wanted something with a bit more magnification - these are 1-4x24. They have a very fine "dot-in-a-donut" reticle, part of which lights up (green) if desired. They also have a setting labeled "NV" - while it is not a night vision scope, the NV setting lights the reticle up very faintly in a bluish color. They also have return-to-zero turrets. Click the link for more info and reviews. Asking $200 ea in the Toledo Ohio area, or will ship on your dime. Thanks, TM One sold, one left for sale.....
Saw some negative comments from 2006-ish regarding Brownell's mags also some that indicated no problems, but I have not ever used any of theirs. I have all Tapco mags, and have had zero problems with them. LINK
Swapping out scopes on my Colt .22 and my AR. Had Leatherwood CMR's on both, decided to move back to a more standard cross hair reticle. Picked up a pair of Barska Point Black scopes, they have built in BDC turrets for 50, 55 and 62 grain projectiles.
In light of the ebola situation & this administration's lack of a coherent plan of action, are you taking any extra precautions for you & yours? I have long had a few buckets of long shelf life food and personal life straws for water, did get another bucket & one of the big water filters.
Picked up a Rough Rider in .22mag, 6.5" barrel, checkered grips, holster & 250 rounds of ammo - $180. Need to go to the range. Also need to find a .22lr cylinder for it. ;D
