Make sure whatever scope you choose will parallax focus down to 10 yards or so. My favorite bi-pods have always been Harris', the first brand I ever bought.
Tasty. I really like the color. That's gonna be a fine 10/22 all mounted up in that Odyessy stock. Is that a mag you have stuffed in the mag well? What's on the menu for optics?
I've had best luck with CCI in my GSG5. It eats up Mini-Mags and Velocitors. Wouldn't know a good kit from a bad one. I'm in the same boat with you, haven't really delved into it.
Shot the Beretta very little, always preferred the mod 41. I found the mod 41 to have the slightest of an edge in accuracy, ammo capacity (8 vs.10) and ergonomics. But the Beretta mod 89 is a VERY impressive and imposing pistol, worth the effort to locate one.
It makes for a more repeatable barrel/slide alignment which in turn enhances accuracy. Kinda like HK's 21st century version of the 1911 barrel bushing.
Today I'm toting my SA XDm9 (20 shot) in a Blackhawk leather holster on my belt with my Kahr P380 with Crimson Trace laser roaming free in my back pocket. How about y'all?
