Welcome to T22 22lr.

Cold!!! It's been 27 to 30 degrees F every morning this week in Brooksville where I live. A little warmer 40 miles south in Tampa where I work. But it's a welcomed break from the heat and it makes the oranges sweeter. How's the weather in the frozen north?

I buy these by the brick and shoot them in my living room. I fire them from manually cycled rifles into a .22 bullet trap and have never had one stick in the barrel. The audible "clang" of the bullet strike assures me it exited the muzzle. Scares the hell out of the dogs though. wobblinwheel is right, my RWS Diana 52 pellet rifle is much louder.

Welcone to T22 Chef, The one I like most and is the most over looked is the Puma PPS. It's the least make believe, most accurate and most reliable of the (6) different tactical 22 rifles I own. I own the Wildcat version.
-
We've had a bunch through. I always thought they were awfully heavy, unbalanced, and had the worst sights I'd ever seen. I think Walther goofed on this one.
-
Do the Russian ho come with the rifle? Decent price but, of all the tactical 22 rifles I own (GSG-5, GSG Kalashnikov, Colt M4-OPS, Puma PPS, Remington VTR & SIG 522) this is my least favorite. The Puma PPS, although overpriced, is my favorite.

Good for you, and good for the environment. What we don't feed the chickens goes into our compost pile.

Just followed your link. DAMN! Those Marvel conversions are good looking units.

Master Sargeant, I didn't like it at all. Couldn't wait to rid myself of it and did. But to qualify my opinion I must tell you that I am jaded. I own two other 1911 22s, a Colt Ace and a Kimber Rimfire Target, both are quite "all that". I found the Chiappa too toy like and I own many toyish 22s so this one was particularly cheap looking. I'm in the minority though, most owners like them. Just not for me.

That is so good. Worthy of Aesop.

A bud of mine shoots the BC Steel Lip mags in competition and swears by them.

I wonder if it'll feed from a PS-90 style mag and will that mag hold 50 rnds?

Your CMMG run well?

As some of you may remember I purchased a new Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 less than 2 months ago. I noticed today, less than 2 months later, that the wholesale price has dropped $38 from every supplier! I want my damned $38!
-
Has anyone seen these? I think they're imported under the ATI label. At only $247 wholesale I'd like to try one.

Both the factory Colt & Armalite versions of this scope were manufactured in Japan by Bushnell for them. -
Sensibly spoken bd.

The .45 & 9mm only have an advantage in near misses where the larger temporary wound channel would damage nearby vital organs, but a direct hit (heart, brain or major vessel) from any of these three calibers will yield similar results IMO. So the advantage of the larger calibers is a greater chance of a one shot stop and the advantage of the smaller calibers is faster shots on target. Clothing worn can also play a part.

Welcome AR.Hunter. That's a fine sounding selection of rimfires you got going on there. Welcome to the addiction.

Our composter is a great big pile behind the house, way behind the house. Works great, just dig out what you need at planting time and you're good to go. Never used one of those fancy city slicker rotary compost machines. Hell, I hear some of them even got motors on them.
-
I've fire lapped several rimfire barrels and truth be told, none realized any accuracy improvement over the pre-lapped groups. I believe fire lapping rimfires (or plug lapping for that matter) is a waste of time. I don't even think competition shooters lap their rimfire barrels, or even clean them very often.

Looking at the front sight? Seems like it!

I chose to use the Walther PS 55 red dot sight on my Colt M4 OPS. This is the sight shown in Colt's ads. The battery compartment doubles as a riser placing the sight at the perfect height for lower third co-witnessing. It works well and is affordable. -
Hi from sunny central Florida. Welcone to T22.

Dang! And I was gonna try to borrow lunch money. No suitable emoticon found.
