Revolver came in Tuesday. Today is my first day back at work and first chance to examine it. I am impressed. Fit and finish is good. Laser is unobtrusive and easy to use, I like the on/off button much better than a pressure pad. The DAO trigger is remarkable, light, fast and reasonably smooth. Better than any revolver trigger out of the box I've seen in awhile, maybe ever. It fits the hand superbly and is very light in weight, an ounce and a half lighter than my Kahr PM-9. No internal lock. What looks like a lock on the left side frame is a screw of some sort. One odd thing, the trigger will still work when the cylinder is open without having to pull back on the cylinder release. Speaking of the cylinder release, I find the top mounted cylinder release difficult to use. No matter, I won't be carry a reload. Photos to follow.
They can and have but, the magazine must be very carefully loaded in order to prevent rim lock. Most shooters can't seem to load double stack rimfire magazines properly, consistently.
The .22lr, being a rimmed cartridge, gets quite a curve in it when you go to 30 rounds. Look at this Remington 30 rounder. It's almost 90 degrees. The Colt 30 round mag is just as curved inside the oversized shell.
They've been available for 2-3 years now but as far as I can tell have never enjoyed popularity. I believe this is due to the lack of a pistol grip. The KEL-TEC PLR-22 on the other hand has a pistol grip and is in much more demand (although they too are readily available).
Holy crap! I'll tell you what, I'll help you out by beta testing it for a few months. Save you all that sweat and effort and cost. I'll fax you my FFL. I'll do it now. Start boxing it up.
Just bought a Pro Vision fiber optic scope. Man is it cool. WARNING! Do not buy one of these if you're the least bit obsessive because what seemed to me to be sparkling clean bores are actually filthy and copper fouled when viewed through the scope. You'll never stop cleaning. On the bright side, I can look at my own tonsils in great detail. PS: they make a camera adapter for it....imshur....
